We’re in the car driving to Washington state right now. You might think I’m crazy for driving and not flying but flying was so miserable last time because I was so uncomfortable. Driving has been great! I can get out all the time and stretch. Plus, we’re seeing some cool stuff. We’re having our baby shower this weekend, I’m excited! We’re having it so early because I’m not allowed to travel far from home past 20 weeks.
Oh, about 20 weeks… we were supposed to have our “big” ultrasound on Feb. 14th but now they moved it to Feb 15th! Grr! They always do that to me. Oh well, at least it’s only one day later. I guess someone put me in for the 14th and my doctor won’t even be there that day so they moved me.
Anyway, we’re in Idaho right now. We’re supposed to be at my parent’s by tonight, but it won’t be until about midnight at this rate. We went through Preston, ID where Napoleon Dynamite was filmed. That place… wow. It’s basically really trashy, worse than it looks in the movie! We drove by all the places in the area where they filmed. It was funny to see these places in person. It’s a pretty run down farming town and it smells like cow poop. I don’t know how anyone could live there. We were about to drive past “Summer’s house” and there was just some random cow walking down the road! We pulled up next to it and it looked at us and started mooing! It was so funny! Then there was some mailboxes, but they were in these buckets full of dirt. Like, they took the mailbox post and put a mailbox on top, and put the post in a bucket full of dirt! Well, we thought it was funny.
We got some pictures of the amazing mailboxes.
Anyway, I’m about to lose internet so I better go! Only 5 hours of driving left!
X alert

Life (Or Something Like It)
Every time we’re in the car driving to Ashton’s house (my 6 year old stepdaughter), the radar detector says, in a nice womans voice, “X alert”. We think it’s funny because there is nothing that should be setting off the radar detector in that area. “X alert” is an alert that goes off when the radar detector picks up a signal from something like a grocery store or a gas station. But somehow, this radar detector is picking up something right when we pull up to Ashton’s house, that’s causing the radar detector to kindly say “X alert”. How fitting. I can think of quite a few other alerts that would be even more fitting, but I won’t go there.
Why am I telling you this? Because it’s funny.
And because the never ending “X” drama we have to put up with. This “X” will do anything she can to make my wonderful husband’s life a living hell.
I got kicked!

Pregnancy
Last night we were laying in bed watching South Park and all of a sudden I feel this poke in my tummy! I looked over at Preston and it happened again! This was for sure a strong kick!!! All the other times I was like “hmm I think that was it” but this time there was no mistaking! It happened 3 times total.
It was on the right side, which all the movement I have felt before was on the left side. It was so exciting!!! I wish they would do it more! I love it!

If there’s any scrapbookers that visit my site and need wedding stuff… I’m selling my Creative Memories wedding stuff because I don’t prefer Creative Memories style. You can see the listing HERE if you are interested!
Okay my newest pregnancy symptom: heartburn. I hate it. I’ve never really had heartburn before and let me tell you… it sucks. I’m getting huuuuuge. You can see new pics on my myspace profile, if you have access. I try to approve all people who add me, if I have seen you comment here before or if I know you have a site. So if you add me send me a message or comment here. I try to reply to all of them but I have been getting a lot more messages than usual lately!
I have my next ultrasound on Wednesday. I’m excited! My doctor said she might be able to tell the sexes this time! If not they will try again to see on the 20 week appointment, which is on Valentine’s Day. I can’t wait! I’ve started to feel them move. It’s awesome
It actually started on Christmas Eve but I haven’t been 100% sure that that was what I was feeling. I’m sure it is now though. I don’t know what else it could be! It’s so cute. I haven’t felt them for a couple days though. It’s so random right now because their movements aren’t that strong yet.
So, I would just like to vent on a couple things that are getting on my nerves lately. First of all, I know I’m huge. I’m having twins. Two babies, not one. Which means I’m going to be a lot bigger than you were when you were pregnant, or than your sister/friend/aunt/cousin is with her pregnancy. This isn’t directed at anyone specific, it just seems like no matter who sees my pictures the thing that I hear the most is “Wow you’re so big! So and so is 6/7/8 months pregnant and not that big!”. Yes, I know. It’s normal.
Twins everyone, two babies! Twice the baby in a space designed for one. On average, a woman pregnant with twins measures 8-10 weeks bigger than a woman pregnant with a singelton.
Also, I’m glad you’re not having twins too. I think that nearly every pregnant woman I’ve talked to says something like “I’m so glad I’m not having twins!” or I hear parents say “It’s going to be so hard! It was hard with one, I can’t imagine two!” Or “I have two kids and it’s so much work, it’s really hard!” Yes. Two babies will be hard - at first. I really do not think it’s going to be that bad. I have an amazing husband who has the luxury of working from home and is totally excited to help as often and as much as I need him to. In fact, we joke about how God knew we would be fighting over who gets to do what with the baby so he gave us two instead of one so that neither one of us would feel left our or jealous!
Now don’t stop commenting! lol
I’m talking about the people who tell me these things in a rude or a “you’re never going to make it” way.
And one last thing… I have had an interesting number of pregnant teenagers add me as friends on myspace. To be completely honest, it makes me nearly sick. A 15 year old girl added me as a friend the other day. She’s pregnant with twins. I was looking at her pictures and she doesn’t look a day over 12. And her boyfriend… wow. I don’t know. I try not to be judgemental but seriously, wow. They are babies themselves. It’s so, so, so sad to me to see KIDS having sex and having babies. I had sex when I was young too. I’m not proud of it. BUT - I was responsible. As soon as I started having sex I told my mom and got on birth control pills. These kids are trying to be adults. They’re trying to do adult things like have sex, yet they aren’t adult enough to tell their parents they are having sex. Don’t even get me started on the teenagers who are TRYING to get pregnant.
Anyway, I’m off to watch Conan and then get to bed. :cute:
