Geez. There have been times where my blog wouldn’t load all the way, it would sit there and hang but then eventually load, so I just ignored it. Well all day today it has been just lagging, not loading at all. Not even the wordpress admin would load. I’ve been sitting here trying to figure it out and finally I figured out what it was. I had a wordpress plugin installed called “WPShortStat”, it was only viewable by me through the wordpress admin. It didn’t show up on the page anywhere, so I didn’t even think that was what was causing the problem. Well turns out it was. I’m so mad I spent all this time and that’s what the problem was. I sat here and deactivated all plugins and went through one by one and yep, that was it. Grrr. If you use that plugin and your blog has issues… you might want to see if that’s the issue.

From now on, you will need to register in order to comment. Also, I’m starting to mark some entries and pages as private - including all photo posts. In order to view the private entries you will need to register (link on top right or bottom right under “meta” ) and be approved for Advanced Subscriber status. All of the current photo posts are being marked as private. Please don’t hesitate to register! If I don’t know you, a simple email (sent from your email address, not from the contact form) letting me know who you are, etc. is usually enough to gain access.

Instead of finishing up the pages of the site yesterday, I went shopping. It was much more fun than sitting at the computer! I posted a picture on flickr of one of the things I got, and I had a couple emails asking where I got them so I’ll just let everyone know incase anyone else is wondering. I got them at JC Penney and you can find them on their website here. They’re so uber cute! Everything I got yesterday was from JC Penney, I might post a few more pics later.

As you can see, I have a new theme! I made it all myself and I’m really proud of myself for it. It took me 2 weeks… but I think for someone who knew the bare minimum of CSS and nothing about Wordpress, I’d say that’s pretty darn good. I’ve learned so much about both and now that I know it, it seems so simple! Tomorrow Preston is going fishing so I’ll be home with Gus all day, so I plan on working on the pages of the site, so check back for that. So what do you think? How does it look? Anything look totally weird? I made it on my Mac so I use Safari but I checked it in IE and it seemed to look pretty good too. A few details are off in IE but nothing that makes it look really bad (I hope).
So anyway, here it is. I’m so happy to finally get it up! I’ve been working on it like crazy! Let me know what you think!
