26w appointment
11:44 pm ~ 4

We had our 26 week appointment yesterday. This was the start of my “every two weeks” appointments. This time I was hooked up to the fetal montior for 20 minutes to check the babies heartbeats, contractions, and movement. It was pretty miserable for me actually because they had to have the monitors strapped around me soooo tight. It made it really hard to breathe and I really thought I was going to faint at one point. That and the babies were not liking it either. They are cramped enough as it is and then add three elastic bands around my tummy… they were trying to move out of the way non stop. It was hard to get steady readings but they got enough to determine that everything is fine, as expected. My next appointment is in 2 weeks and I’ll have another ultrasound then.
I also had to have a routine glucose test done to check for diabetes. I’ve heard so many people tell me how awful the drink is that you have to drink but I didn’t think it was bad at all. From what I’ve heard, I was expecting some horrible disgusting drink but it just tasted like flat orange soda. It wasn’t even as sweet as orange soda actually, which I was surprised about because people have told me how sugary and gross it was. Anyway, it’s really not that bad.
My doctor told me that she just recently delivered a set of twins at 24 weeks. I’m at the point now that if I were to deliver tomorrow the twins would have a 97% chance of survival. I don’t imagine I’ll be delivering anytime soon though, which is obviously good. My cervix is still 5 cm long and it should be shorter by now so who knows what will happen in that department. So she informed me that my next “goal” is 30 weeks, then 35 weeks, then after that I’ll probably be begging her to induce me. Twins are considered full term at 37 weeks so she said I probably will not go past 37 weeks because I’ll be so big. My uterus is already measuring the size of a 33 week single pregnancy and I’m only 26 weeks! My hunch is that I will deliver the first week in June (which is only two months away!!!!!!!! ). Ashton will be in Mexico that week…. so it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s when they came. She will be so, so sad if they come when she’s gone so I’m hoping they come the following week… which is when I’ll be 37 weeks along. We have Ashton every weekend in June after she’s back from Mexico and the first weekend in July, then again the 3rd and 4th weekends in July so she’ll be spending a lot of time with the babies either way. She’s so excited, it’s so cute. She always says “I hope the babies don’t cry as much as my brother does because he gives me a headache every day.” I don’t think she’ll have anything to worry about as far as that goes.
Anyway, I can really feel myself starting to slow down. I’ve actually been able to be really active my whole pregnancy but now I am getting so tired lately. I’m trying to unpack things but I’ll get one box done and be tired and my feet will be swollen and I’ll have to stop. I went to bed at midnight last night, slept till 11:30am, took a 30 minute nap around 2ish, and then a 2 hour nap around 5ish. I’ve just been sooooo tired! And, I’m really tired right now so I think I’m going to grab my hubby and head to bed!

Finally

Filed Under: House, Life (Or Something Like It)

So we finally got everything moved into the new house. It’s been a long couple of days! I actually didn’t pack anything by myself because whenever I started, I would get soooo tired. So nothing even started getting packed until 7pm Friday night when everyone got there to help for the weekend. I was afraid it wouldn’t get done this weekend but, it did! So I wasn’t able to make sure everything was “packed right” but hey, it ended up getting packed pretty darn good without me! This pregnancy sure is teaching me, among other things, that there are just some things you can’t be picky about. Everyone was such a big help, I’m so thankful that we had good help or my poor husband and brother would have been doing it all alone. I’m also extremely thankful to have such an amazing husband!!! Oh and just a side note… my husband is really freaking sexy when he’s working hard.
So now, everyone is gone and Preston and my brother went to take the truck back and to get the celing fans from the old house. Last night sucked here at the new house because there’s no celing fan in our room and I can’t sleep well at all with the air still. It gets muggy feeling, ya know? So while they’re gone I think I’m going to go slowly unpack something.
Another side note… I’m really irritated that someone hasn’t come out to the house yet and installed the blinds. They keep saying that he’ll be here but they are apparently backed up right now. This is when having a big huge window in your bathroom is a bad thing.

I’m so sick of stupid
4:32 pm ~ 5

I seriously will never understand how some people can have such a warped sense of reality. Doesn’t it amaze you how some people have such a wrong view of the way things are or the way things were? They don’t even know how stupid they look and sound because they actually think that what they are saying is how it is or how it was. There has to be some sort of serious disorder that can be diagnosed for people who lie so much that they actually believe their own lies, and that their lies become reality to them. One little thing here and there is when you start to notice it, but then it becomes where people say things, out of the blue, about a situation that wasn’t even the way it was. Everyday occurrences turn into an opportunity to lie about the way things are or the way they were. Except they don’t think they are lying. They think that what they are saying is how it really was or is, but it’s so far off from the truth. It’s quite amazing to watch.

See, I know how to be lazy

Well, my plans for the day did not happen. I got off the computer and was getting ready to leave and started feeling a BH contraction so I decided to lay down for a little bit before leaving, and then ended up falling asleep until Preston and my brother got home. Then Preston and I went to our Prep for Parenting class at church. I’ve had a couple more BH between waking up and now, but my doctor said not to be worried unless I am getting more than 4 in an hour. I haven’t had any for at least an hour now. I’ve been drinking water like crazy so that is helping. So now Preston is not wanting me to pack anything at all… but I’m sure I’ll be just fine to do at least a little bit tomorrow.
I need to go to bed though, I’m soooooo tired today.

Aparently WordPress is not noticing that the time has changed already. I posted this at 11:21pm, not 10:21pm. :?:

The start of a long weekend
1:02 pm ~ 3
Filed Under: Family, House, Life (Or Something Like It)

Well I just got home from taking my parents to the airport. I’m actually a lot more sad about dropping them off to go home than I thought I would be. It was nice having them here for the week. My brother will still be here until April 4th so that will be fun. I’m also starting to get really down about having to miss my sisters wedding on the 7th. I’m not allowed to fly anymore or else we would be going. Maybe I’m just feeling extra emotional today.
Preston and Catlin (my brother) are taking the boat back down to his brother-in-law so I’m going to head over to the new house and mask the bedrooms that they are painting tomorrow. I’m seriously like, the best prep girl ever. Not to brag or anything but I’m really good at masking off rooms so that when you paint, the lines are all nice and stuff. I didn’t prep Preston’s office here and well… the lines aren’t as clean as they could be. So I’m going to do that today while they are gone since I’m not able to be there while they are painting tomorrow. Preston has a paint sprayer so painting goes really fast, which is great.
So tomorrow while they paint, I’m going to finally start packing. I haven’t packed a single thing yet. It really won’t take that long once I get started. I’m not technically supposed to be packing but I’ll be fine as long as I’m not bending and lifting like crazy. We will have Kathy, Jason, and Trey (Preston’s sister, brother-in-law, and nephew) here tomorrow night so I’m looking forward to that help (along with help from my brother). Preston will help pack but he’ll be getting all the big stuff ready, so it’ll be nice to have another woman to help me pack “the right way”. Maybe I’m picky but thowing a bunch of stuff into a box and marking it “office crap” is not exactly my idea of organized packing… :left: I’m just kidding, he’s not that bad at packing… I’m just excessively picky with it.
I also have to find time between now and tomorrow night to finish my thank you cards and make my sisters guest book for her wedding. If I don’t do it before we move, it could be a long time before either get done.
There’s too much to do before tomorrow night and here I am at my computer. I’m so productive!
