Here’s a few pictures of our new, new house.
I didn’t have time to resize them all because the whole family is up here today for Josh’s birthday and a baby shower so I’ll try to post some more later.
Oh hey… haha… I forgot to tell yall one thing…. it’s funny actually…. I had been putting off posting this because I didn’t want to hear it from (some) people (and some think we make shit up… ) but what the hell…
We moved again.
Haha. Yes, we moved again. You’re probably asking yourself “Why on earth did they move again?!!?!” (or some form of that…. depending on who you are….. ahem… ) Well, as you all know from my previous entry, we sort of got thrown into moving last month. Not only that but we got thrown into choosing a house that we would be willing to buy in the next year. Okay so we had some choices, not that many, narrowed it down to two, decided on the best out of our choices, and moved in. I think we kind of forced ourselves to love it because really, what other choice did we have? Living there the past month has not been what we hoped it would be. Yes, the house is brand spanking new, it’s extremely nice, but I don’t know….. something about it wasn’t working for us. The community sucks. That was one major downfall to the place. There are hardly any neighbors and the ones that are there…. are not very friendly. But that was just one of our dislikes about it.
Obviously buying a house is a huge deal, especially one with the price tag like this one. You really have to be drop dead in love with a house to spend that much on it. So anyway, we loved the house before moving in… liked it after being there a week… and dreaded living in it since then. We didn’t want to buy this house like we thought we did. So we started looking around at other houses that aren’t offered by the company we are currently working with. Obviously there were some downsides to cutting ourselves off from that company all together, but the downsides were so tiny in comparision to the positives.
So, the house we are buying, for real this time lol, is bigger in square feet, built in 2000, and is so much more house for the money. The best part… it costs less. We actually cut our monthly cost down, which is awesome. It’s a custom made home, plus having been lived in before, the house has a lot of things done to it already (unlike the brand new house which was obviously…. brand new). The rooms are so much bigger, that was one of our major dislikes on the other house. The rooms were so small. The yard is amazing. It’s only about 10 minutes from the other house but the thing with this area is you can drive 10 minutes in one direction and it’s completely different. The community is so much better. There are kids on all sides of us and they are all around Ashton’s age.
Really I just love it here. It reminds me so much of the house that we got ripped out of. I think we will be very, very happy with this house. Plus, we’ve been looking around and we actually got to pick a house that we liked based on what we wanted from a house. It really sucked being torn from a house you love, and then shoved in a house that you were forced to pick. So the whole situation surrounding this is just so much better for us. I just love the lease to own option. We can opt out of a house so easily if we end up hating it (like in this case). And if we end up loving it, the price is locked in the day we sign the lease papers (which is obviously great considering prices on houses go up quickly). So this is the house. I love it, really this time lol! I never want to move again.
So anyway, at least we didn’t have to pack. Haha. We had hardly unpacked anything at the other house. I think we were just not feeling it so we kept putting it off. We only unpacked the kitchen, some office stuff, our bathroom, part of our bedroom, and Ashton’s room. So it was super easy to move. And now we can start getting settled here and best of all… start working on the babies room!
I’ll post pictures once I get some time tonight, so check back.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Haha. Hmm. Ha. Stupid people. Gotta love it.
(For the record, this post was in reference to something political.)
Happy 29 weeks pregnant to me! :yay: So I’ll admit, I’m getting a little nervous to be approaching the 30 week mark. Basically anything can happen from there… well anything could happen now I suppose but anything could really happen 30 weeks +. Hee hee I’m so excited!
I need to go eat I’m soooo hungry. I threw up my breakfast… again. I’m still throwing up almost every morning. It’s really getting old. So now I’m starving and I need to get going… I’ve been being lazy all day so far, laying in bed with Preston. It’s hard to get out of bed and get moving when he’s so soft and cuddly and warm and…. I love him. He’s awesome.
We got the paint tonight for the babies room! Yay! Preston’s going to start on it tomorrow.
I can’t wait! I’m so excited!!!!!!
Oh and I wanted to share for all the other pregnant girlies… I got a book called Baby Bargains last week and I love it! It helped me decide which crib to get. It has so much great information! I highly recommend it! I don’t know how much it will actually save anyone money… but it has great reviews on brands based on consumer reviews and input. It has a lot of great suggestions, ideas, etc. I also got Baby 411 which someone recommended to me and it is great also from what I have read so far. It’s got some really good advice that is very unbiased when it comes to parenting techniques, which is nice. Both are great for first time mommies!
