Happy one month old to Emma and Ava! Geez I cannot believe it’s been 4 weeks already!!! Seems like yesterday… they are growing up too fast already!
My long time friend (since before I was in kindergarten!) is coming to Texas tomorrow! I’m excited!
She’ll be here ’till Monday so that’ll be sweet.
Okay anyway, gotta go feed my little princesses!
I finally decided to sit down at my computer today for longer than 2 seconds. I managed to add all the photos I have to our family website since family has been wanting to see photos of the girls, and I added a few pictures to myspace. I checked some email and now, it’s time to feed the girls again in a few minutes. I still have to go through registrations for the blog in order for people to view photos. I haven’t forgotten, just haven’t had time. Hopefully I’ll be able to do that this week. I also need to pay a visit to a certain message board where I made a lot of friends during my pregnancy. I haven’t been there in so long and I know some friends have had their babies. There is just not enough hours in the day! I also need to re-design my blog… get rid of some of these pregnancy tickers lol!
I can’t believe the girls will be a month old on Wednesday. CRAZY! They are awesome.
Okay well, time to go feed the little ones. I’ve now mastered feeding two babies and pumping at the same time… I’m down to about 20 minutes to do it. I’m sure it’s quite the sight to see! I can’t wait till they are actually feeding at the breast. I have a lactation consultant coming to visit me this week at home so hopefully she’ll be able to help me. Preemies usually aren’t capable of breastfeeding until after their due date so we’ll see how they do now that they are almost a month old.
Okay gotta go!
We took the girls to a check up today and they both have gained 1lb in the past week.
Emma is now 5lbs 7oz and Ava is 6lbs 7oz. Emma passed her carseat re-test so she can now use a normal car seat. Yesterday I took them both out by myself for the first time and it was a lot easier than I expected. I felt like I had been doing it forever. It’s funny how things are ending up being easier than I thought they would. Everyone asks me how I manage it with two and I just tell them it’s what’s normal for me. You would think that having two would be hard, and it is definitely a challenge, but when you gotta do it you gotta do it and it just ends up being as normal as taking care of one.
Both girls are sleeping about 5 hours every night now.
Sweeeet. We are feeding them every 2.5-3 hours during the day and letting them sleep until they wake up hungry at night. The class we took at our church about parenting/feeding/sleeping is really paying off. So far everything is going exactly as we hoped it would.
Well I had a minute to get on the computer so I wanted to update but now I need to get ready to go eat dinner. There are just not enough hours in the day! This is the first time I’ve actually sat down at the computer in forever. I’ve been checking email and myspace on my phone while on the go! Hopefully after the house is finished being unpacked I’ll have more time. It’s seriously on the verge of being done. Probably by tomorrow we’ll have it finished. Oh and the nursery is done, I just have to post the photos.
I’ll post more later when I can!
I’m still alive.
I just haven’t been at the computer at all lately. The girls are keeping me busy! They feed every 3 hours so between feeding times I’m trying to finally get our house in order since I couldn’t while I was pregnant, or I’m sleeping. There’s so much I want to do now that I’m not pregnant but so little time to do things! I’m still trying to take it easy though. I feel great but I don’t want to over do it.
Anyway, I’ll post more later. I have some pictures to post also when I get a mintue to do it. I stil have to change some registrations to allow people to see photos too. I didn’t forget, I just haven’t had time yet.
Okay, more later!
So the first night home with both girls was pretty much the same as having one of them here. It was actually a piece of cake lol! Maybe it’s a fluke… I dunno. They’re both just so happy and content. I’ve heard people with one talk about the first few weeks being hell on earth and I’m really starting to wonder what’s wrong with my babies? lol
Why aren’t they driving me crazy yet? They are both just so amazing. I wasn’t sure how I would handle the sleep deprivation but there is seriously nothing I’d rather be doing than waking up every 3 hours to those two little angels. They are off to a great start as far as scheduling goes. They eat every 3 hours. You know, I probably would be going crazy if I let them just eat whenever they felt like it. Some people are opposed to putting babies on a schedule and I have a feeling it’s those people who complain about their babies being difficult.
Anyway, guess what? I don’t think I ever specifically said how much weight I gained while pregnant. Well, I gained 60lbs. As of today I have 20lbs to lose. Yay
I’m going to take an after pregnancy photo and show you the difference. I’m excited about this, so I have to brag.
My incision is almost fully healed. I can’t wait until it is completely for two reasons. 1. I want my husband really bad (ha TMI right? You can expect that around here. ) and 2. I can’t wait to work out again.
I need to get off this computer and pump because my awesome new size D boobs are seriously throbbing. TMI again.
