We’re going to pick up Emma right now! She finally gets to come home!!!! I’m so excited…. but kind of nervous too! I’m going to be uber paranoid about her for a while… It’s been super easy so far with just Ava here so we’ll see how it goes with two! I don’t imagine it will be that bad, they are both so calm all the time. They are both on the same eating schedule too so that helps a lot. I can’t wait till they are breastfeeding instead of getting pumped milk. It will really cut down feeding time. They should be a lot more capable of breastfeeding closer to their original due date. We are working on it though! Ahh I am so excited!!!!!

Emma wasn’t able to come home today… she failed her car seat test that checks her breathing while in the car seat. She’s just so little so her head crunches over really bad. So they will redo it up to 3 times and if she keeps failing she will have to use a car bed.

So anyway hopefully tomorrow! I was pretty sad that a car seat was keeping her from coming home… but I know it’s for the best.

We are going to go see Emma right now. The doctor said she probably gets to come home tomorrow!!!!!! I can’t wait!!!!

I got to hold Emma for the first time yesterday!!! It was amazing. I held her for a split second right after she was born but yesterday I really got to hold her. I cannot wait till she is home!!! We went and spent time with her again today and they removed all the things that were assisting her and now they are just monitoring her to see how she does all on her own. I’m so proud of my little girl! She is making so much progress in such a short time! She will almost certainly be home sometime this week. She is doing perfect on her own and taking bottles of breast milk very well so we expect to be able to bring her home in the next couple days.
Well anyway, I should be sleeping so I need to get off of here. Preston is getting all the photos to me from his camera so I may post some soon. Probably on my myspace and in a private journal entry. No promises though! I’m all mommy paranoid now haha!

Just a quick post to say that we are back home now! Our first night home was great!!! Today has been wonderful as well. Except the fact that I look like Dolly Parton all of a sudden. But hey, at least I’m able to feed the babies! LOL! No really though, my boobs are so gigantic and they hurt real bad.

So we got news today that Emma is moving to Baby Steps this afternoon! That’s the section of the NICU that they move babies to before they get to come home. She’s doing AWESOME. I’m so proud of her! Hopefully she’ll be home in the next couple days!
