My butt and thigh muscles are burning so bad right now. Yesterday Preston and I started our new get healthy regime. We bought an elliptical machine during my pregnancy and now it’s finally getting some use, along with the Total Gym. That thing is pretty sweet. I’m doing pilates again, as soon as I get the ok from my doctor on Thursday. This last procedure I had done set me back on that a little but I’m pretty sure she will give me the go ahead on Thursday. It feels sooooooo good to be working out again. I used to do pilates before getting pregnant and they always kept me in shape so I can’t wait to start them again.
I have done really well these last two days with my Pepsi consumption. For some reason I started craving Pepsi really bad and so I was drinking it way, way too much. I tried Diet Pepsi Max on Sunday and it seriously tastes soooo close to regular Pepsi. It doesn’t have the diet after taste at all, which is what I hate about diet sodas. This is really good though. I had one Sunday and then today I had a baby Pepsi and it ended up actually tasting too sweet to me. So, yay for that. I can get my Pepsi craving covered and not pack on calories. I drank tons of water during my pregnancy and then after I had the babies I started drinking way less but I’ve been craving ice cold water a lot again so hopefully that will keep me away from soda because it’s bad for you no matter if it’s diet or not.
I have to get used to typing with nails again. I got them done again today. I didn’t get them done my entire pregnancy so I did that today with Ashton.
Anyway, I need a shower and then I need to get to bed. The babies are sleeping from 10pm to about 3:30-4am so that’s good. If I ever actually went to bed after feeding them at 10pm I might actually get some decent sleep but I can’t seem to get in bed before 1am. It’s not too bad though. Preston takes the 3:30-4am feeding and then I take the 7am feeding so we both usually ending up getting some good sleep in.
Okay, *in my best Kip voice* peace out.

an elliptical! i want one at home! of course it’s impractical in an apartment even if we wanted to spend $$ on something like that right now.
i like pilates. in addition to really working your core, pilates makes you hurt in those weird places that you weren’t previously aware could even hurt. which is good!
it’s good that you worked out pre-pregnancy, because the muscle memory is there and your body should be right back where it was even faster than normal.

working out is great! i’m doing it 2-3 a week attending a tums-bums-and-thighs-lesson at my gym. but since i’m in germany at domi’s place right now I can’t do any lessons. i’m thinking about ordering a work out video via amazone. is there one you could recommend?

I like Carmen Electra’s Striptease Workout. It’s fun
I also like Yoga Booty Ballet. They are both really fun so it doesn’t feel like you’re doing a boring workout.

I actually saw that last night, except on Yahoo. The more water I’ve been drinking the less I’m craving soda. I’ve had water all day today and haven’t had an urge to grab a Pepsi at all. Soda is really bad for you though, what that article says doesn’t even surprise me.

haha, i was reading the same article on yahoo and was gonna post it on here for u, but didnt want u to take offense or anything…i gave up soda for lent back in high school when i was a freshman (8 years ago) and i ended up not drinking it for 2 or 3 months, and then i had one, and it made me sick to my stomach…which is good for me, but bad for when i crave it cause now i cant even drink it or ill feel sick. lol

I have a Bikini Body somethin workout dvd by Shape magazine, and the one that came with my Bean (like an exercise ball, just in a kidney bean shape so it better supports your back and whatnot)..
I’ve just shyed away from the Striptease Workout and Yoga Booty Ballet (which were of course right next to the one I got on the shelf) because I wonder what they could be doing in those videos that provide a serious workout. Enlighten me, Sarah? haha. I’m interested, just not informed yet. Maybe I’ll read some Amazon reviews on ‘em too.

p.s. i was just reading amazon reviews on the striptease video collection, and it seems that some of it is pretty basic if you’re already an active and/or strong person.. a lot of people suggested only the Fit to Strip disc for someone looking for a good workout.. maybe i’ll check out that one; what do I have to lose, 7 bucks online?

They’re not really for someone who works out a lot…. I liked them when I wasn’t working out that much. It’s just basically dancing… you can get a decent workout dancing if you do it faster. I just thought they were fun.
I don’t use any videos or anything anymore so I don’t know of any other good ones.
