It feels good to be home! We had a great time visiting family, everyone just loved the girls. They travelled perfectly! They didn’t cry at all on the way there or back, on the plane or the 5 hour drive from the airport to my parents house. It was GREAT! Everyone on the plane complimented us on what great babies we had. People just loved them, they attracted quite a bit of attention. It was really fun though, I miss my family! I think my parents are going to come down for Christmas. *fingers crossed*
Today Emma isn’t feeling too well today, she has some kind of rash on her arms, torso, and legs. It looks kind of like a sunburn and then there’s a bunch of larger bright red spots. I called her pediatrician’s office but they closed at noon today so I’m going to call them in the morning.
Anyway, I have a lot to get done today from being gone. I had a mini disaster this afternoon… I opened our suit case and discovered that an open can of formula that was put into the suit case had lost it’s lid and now everything is covered in formula powder. Wonderful.

p.s. I’m now down to 141lbs - 10lbs away from my prepregnancy weight!

We leave for Washington on Wednesday and I’m totally excited. I can’t wait for my family to finally meet the girls. I’ve started to make sure all our laundry is done, and I cleaned the fridge and pantry. I can’t leave home with stuff in my fridge (or pantry) that could possibly go bad while I’m gone. It’s just a thing.
I’ve not been into the computer the last few days. I dunno why. Sometimes I get like that, where I won’t want to get on the computer at all for several days. All I’ve been wanting to do in my spare time lately is read. I’m almost done reading One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. It’s so good! I can’t wait to start the second book. I wish I would have started this series when I was pregnant. I had all the time in the world then! I miss being pregnant but I will never miss having to be on modified bed rest. Bleh!
Anyway… I’m hungry. I’m going to go see what my honey is up to.

too good to be true?

The babies slept through the night last night! I was surprised! Emma woke up around 4am so I gave her her passy and then went to make bottles… by the time I was done they were back to sleep so I put the bottles in the fridge and went back to bed. They didn’t start getting restless till about 6am and then started crying at 6:30am. They normally start their day at 7am. Woohoo! Something tells me this might just be a fluke but we’ll see… I’m going to try giving them their passy when they wake up in the middle of the night before giving them their bottles. Worked last night… Usually I just make their bottles since they sleep 5-5.5 hours before waking up. I guess I’m just “lucky” right? I laugh when people tell me I’m just lucky and I have easy babies… I could have babies that fussed all the time, had their days and nights mixed up, and didn’t sleep through the night until they were over a year old… If I picked them up or stuck a bottle in their mouth every time they made a peep… that’s a good way to have a baby who can’t be put down and doesn’t have regular eating patterns… which will result in irregular sleeping patterns. Even fussy babies can be good babies. I really think most of it has to do with parenting. But, a parenting debate isn’t something I want to get into right now…

cuddle buddies

wiggle worms!

I still can’t keep them apart! It’s just so cute! They wiggle to each other so they can cuddle! Emma sleeps on her side a lot because it helps her to not spit up as much… but it makes it easier for her to wiggle over. Ava is wiggling over to Emma too now and she’s completely on her back. They are the cutest things!

There’s this family night out thing tonight… basically neighbors walk around and have little out door get togethers and meet each other. I met a neighbor down the street tonight who had fraternal twin girls 2 days after I did! I was excited. I feel bad for her though… she said hers are very, very fussy. She didn’t seem in that good of a mood… poor woman she’s probably about to pull her hair out.

Anyway, I’m sleepy so I’m going to bed early!

I’m finally getting around to processing the most recent pictures of the girls. I did all their pictures from their first month but since then I have been too busy to get to the rest. I take way too many photos so now they are stacked up and it’s taking me forever. I need to pick out some good ones to print also… anyone know a good place to order prints online? I want to be able to have the option to choose if they are matte or glossy and I can’t find anywhere that lets you choose. Maybe I’m not looking right lol! :left:
