I went Pink For October!
I still have a few things to fix up I think… I’m also working on a public theme that I hope to have done tonight or tomorrow. Be on the look out! If you went Pink For October, I’d love to see your theme so let me know in the comments!
I’ve been looking around at some WordPress plugins and noticed a plugin called “NoFollow Free”. I didn’t know that WordPress automatically added a “nofollow” tag to comment author links. That means that when you comment, if someone clicks on your name and goes to your website, the click doesn’t really “count” in terms of page ranking and what not. In my opinion, that pretty much sucks.
So, I have downloaded the NoFollow Free plugin so that any time you comment and someone clicks your link, it will “count”. It would be nice if more people used this plugin, or a similar one. We could all help each other out. Awww.
I know I’m thinking waaaay far ahead on this one, but I was looking at bunk beds today. It’s going to be so cute to have the girls in adroble little bunk beds! I just love this one. It’s so pretty. And isn’t this cool?! A tent under your bed! How fun! And I just adore this. It’s like your own little house that you get to sleep in!
They didn’t have bunk beds this cool when I was little. My sister and I shared a room until I was 14 and we always had bunk beds. Except ours could be single beds or bunk beds. To make them bunk beds you just stacked them on top of each other. There wasn’t any rails or anything… not even a ladder. The top bed stayed up by these little pegs that were on the head board and foot board of the bottom bed. Sounds safe, doesn’t it? It’s a miracle we survived jumping off from the top bed onto pillows on the floor!
Poor Emma has been waking up in the middle of the night lately with really bad gas. It’s been right around 5:30am for a couple weeks now. There will be a night here and there where it won’t happen, but most nights it does. I know it’s just gas because she has a certain cry when she is gassy and once it’s gone she goes right back to sleep. I’ve been giving her baby gas drops but honestly, I don’t think they work. Preston swears they do but I’m not convinced. I remember someone mentioned trying chamomile tea, my mom suggested the same thing so I think I’m going to try that. I wish there were something I could do before she goes to sleep to prevent the gas but it sounds like all I can do is things after the gas already hits. She’s not gassy at all during the day, only at night. My mom said she’ll probably grow out of any tummy issues really soon… I sure hope so. I can’t believe they will be 4 months old on the 30th! Crazy!
Anyway, I’m hungry. I need to find some breakfast!
I would love to go to Raleigh, NC this Fall. I’ve never been to NC but it looks like the perfect Fall Getaway. I was browsing their website tonight and this place is seriously a hidden treasure! Performances, museum exhibitions, festivals, concerts… I would love to see the NC Shakespeare Festival and The Marriage of Figaro performance. They’re having a FREE Raleigh Getaway that you can sign up for. I signed up tonight, I would be so excited to be the person drawn. You should really sign up if you like free vacations!

Their 2007 N.C. State Fair looks like sooo much fun. I just love state fairs. All that good food… The smell of fair food is intoxicating! There’s something so wholesome and fun about state fairs. It reminds me of being a kid again. I used to get so excited about going to the state fair once a year. Trace Adkins is going to be at their state fair on October 21st. I like him a lot, but I like country so that’s a given.
And in the winter they have a little Tinsel Town with an ice skating rink, visits with Santa, decorated holiday trees, and hot cocoa! I just love the time of the year that is approaching. There is so much fun stuff to look forward to.
Even if we don’t win this getaway I’m going to talk to Preston about making a trip there after he gets his pilots license. Who would of thought that NC would have these kinds of fun things? It doesn’t sound like your typical vacation spot but it sure sounds like a blast.
