Preston and I have spent some time lately going through his office and trying to get all of our business things in order. We own one LLC currently and will own another soon, so we want to be very organized. Preston isn’t the most organized person, but he’s getting a lot better.
One thing that has been a concern of ours is how to handle business phone calls. Right now, we use Preston’s cell phone as our “business phone” but that’s starting to not be as practical as it once was. We’ve been exploring the options and hadn’t been able to decide if we should get another cell phone and use that as a business phone, or get a separate land line at the house.
I was browsing some websites and found two possible solutions for VoIP service plans. The first one is Virtual Attendant plan. This is ideal if we wanted to have a business phone number that people can call, but the flexibility of having the calls transferred to our current home land line, or one of our cell phones. Callers would have a menu with options to choose what their call is about, similar to when you call most customer support places.
The second option is the Business 2000 plan. This is a VoIP service that is a separate line that would be at our house in our office. I like this option because it’s similar to our home phone line, with features such as voice mail, caller ID, call forwarding, etc.
It’s hard to choose which one would be best, I like them both. With the Virtual Attendant plan you could receive calls even when you’re not in the office unlike with the Business 2000 plan. But, with the Business 2000 plan you have the freedom of not using your personal cell phone to get business calls 24/7, and I’m not entirely sure that we really need to have something as elaborate as the Virtual Attendant plan. We’ll see. Both plans have really great prices too.
This website has a really neat small business phone. It’s got a huge list of features such as speaker phone, just to name one. That would come in handy when we need to have a group conversation. Usually we end up having to repeat to the person not on the phone what the person on the other end is saying and that can get confusing so speaker phone is a must. It’s a really sweet phone. I don’t even know if I would know how to use all the features it has! It would look pretty nice in the office though.
Anyway, check out this website if you or someone you know has been looking for a great deal on a business line.

For those that use PPP…
I reserved an opp and then my browser crashed while I had the window open and was going to do something else. I know the opp reserved successfully, but now I can’t seem to get back to the page that shows the full details of the opp!
I’ve looked all over the site to try and find out how you can get back to opps you have reserved and can’t find anything. I emailed support and I’m position 135 in line! I only have 6 hours to complete this and the last time I sent something to support it took them 2 days to reply.
Does anyone know how to get back to view the opps you have reserved? I tried going back in my history and it says I can’t view the page.
EDIT: Got it! Thanks Ashley and Jenn!

How is it that some people lack the ability to detect sarcasm?
Do you think I’m conceited? Do you think I’m a bitch? Seriously, be honest. I can take it. Someone sent in a question on my Q & A asking why I’m such a bitch. What makes me a bitch? Is it because I’m too sarcastic for some? Is it because…. what? Seriously, someone please post a comment and tell me what makes me a bitch. Really. I dare you to come up with any real, valid point.
For example, my myspace headline says “Every morning I wake up and piss excellence.” Okay. Seriously. That is CLEARLY a joke. If I say something like “I’m awesome.” I’m totally not being serious, even though I basically am awesome.
I guess those who don’t really know me, and just think they know me, assume I’m just full of myself and I’m a bitch. It’s easy to call someone a bitch. It’s the most shallow thing anyone could call me, really. I’ve been called a lot of things. Slut. Big freaking deal. Those kinds of things do not bother me because I know they’re not true, the people worth knowing in life know they’re not true, so why would I get my sexy panties in a twist just because you call me a name? Is this high school? Didn’t think so.
So, I’m cool with being called a bitch. But seriously, if you want to insult me, you gotta do better than that.
Okay, I have go to back to being flippin’ awesome as hell now. K bi.

See, be annoying, get yourself arrested and tased and you WILL get your own T-shirt! I bet that guy is completely stoked right about now. Maybe he’ll become a famous journalist, make a ton of money, score a piece of hot Miami real estate and sit back saying “Man, I’m sure glad that tasing stunt worked back in college. Muah ha ha ha ha!”
Or maybe not. I dunno.

General,
WTF?
 :blank: :wtf:
That was a search engine term that led someone to my site today. I though it would make a great entry title.
Anyway. I’ve had a headache all day today, again. I’ve always gotten headaches a lot. They went away for the most part while I was pregnant but they’re coming back and it really, really sucks.
I was reading headlines earlier today and saw that Lindsay Lohan is planning on writing a book once she gets out of drug rehab about the struggles she’s been through with drug and alcohol abuse. First of all, why is that a headline? And second of all, give me a friggin’ break. If this is any indication of her fantastic writing abilities then um… wow.
These celebrities. Boo freaking hoo. You’re an idiot and get into drugs and then you wonder why your life is jacked up. Don’t even get me started on Britney Spears. I don’t usually get into celebrity gossip but how can you not know what is going on with her? It’s all over the place like it’s some hugely important thing. Just take the damn kids away already before they get hurt.
Blah.
where did the day go?

Life (Or Something Like It)
I am so tired. I just realized I was sitting here staring at my computer screen about to fall asleep. I’ve been going non stop all day it seems like. I had a horrible headache this morning so Preston was sweet and fed the babies for me this morning while I slept in, even though he had tons of stuff to do today. So I didn’t get out of bed until 11:30am. I felt better and so I got dressed and then the rest of a day is sort of a blur. I don’t really know where the day went. I cleaned Ashton’s room. That took some time because it was a disaster. She hasn’t quite gotten the hang of putting things away when she’s done yet. But, starting the next weekend she’s here, she’s going to have a couple chores to do to earn allowance. We’ve decided she’s old enough now to get some allowance so we’ll see how she does with the chores. She loves to help so I’m sure it’ll work out nicely. She’s here this weekend but we’re not asking her to do the chores this time because she has strep throat… again. That girl gets strep more than anyone I’ve known. And the poor thing has had tummy issues since she walked in the door this afternoon. Apparently her pediatrician says she’s lactose intolerant, so I don’t have any idea why she was given ice cream today before being picked up. She says that she eats out most days also, which I personally think could have something to do with her tummy troubles. Fried food can take a toll on a little tummy. I cook for her every time she is here and we don’t give her large quantities of milk products so we’re doing our part and that’s all we can do.
Anyway, then I vacuumed the stairs. Those stairs are a pain in the ass. I need some sort of vacuum specifically for stairs because it’s pretty interesting to try to vacuum all those stairs with a huge vacuum cleaner and not send it tumbling down the stairs. What else did I do today… it feels like a lot. I attempted to clean my scrapbooking room/office. More like finish unpacking it. I still haven’t done all of the unpacking in here. I fed the girls every 4 hours, played with them, gave them a bath before bed… did dishes and laundry… made dinner. Nothing out of the ordinary it just felt like a lot today. Probably because I slept in so late.
Ashton has a soccer game tomorrow but I haven’t decided if I’m going to go or not. It’s supposed to be 94° and the girls just get soooo hot and uncomfortable. I really want to go but I don’t know if it’s the best thing for them right now. I want Ashton to know her games are important to me but both games I’ve taken them to they were fussy from the noise and the heat and I don’t like putting them under that kind of stress if I don’t have to. We’ll see.
I just noticed someone came to my site from searching for human resources software. None of that here, sorry. I get some really odd search engine traffic. I should start posting the funny things people come to my site searching for. You’d get a kick out of them I’m sure.
Okay well I guess I better get to bed since I’m nearly falling asleep at the keyboard. Night!
Oh one more thing, I didn’t waste any formula today.
I did the half scoop thing. Worked like a charm!
