Would you say that I look 17? I will admit, I do look young… but 17? I was at the fabric store today and it was pretty busy at the cutting counter so I was playing with the girls while I waited and a woman started talking to me. She said I look like a “Hollywood Mom” whatever that means. I assume it’s a good thing because when she said that all the other women at the cutting counter agreed. Then the woman cutting my fabric asked how old I was and I told her that I’m 23 and she said “Wow really? I was guessing 17″ and again all the women at the cutting counter agreed. What is it? Is it the patterned thermal with the thumb holes? The torn jeans? The brown and pink Converse? Maybe I should invest in a pair of mom jeans. Maybe then I would look “old enough” to have kids. At least they were nice about it. Some people are rude to me when they think I’m a teenager with two babies.
I love musicals and I was going through my assignments today and saw Wicked tickets. I was thinking it was like… wicked tickets… like you know… “Wow those are some wicked tickets” lol but I was wrong. It’s actually for a broadway musical called Wicked. Now I really want to see it but it’s not showing around here anywhere. Too bad.
Okay I’m off to work on my newest creation… I have a feeling it will make you giggle.

lol at mom jeans. i look younger than i am and have a little girl sounding voice, so people always ask me how highschool is going and get a shock when i tell them i’m a postgraduate at university :p don’t be offended, it just means you’re too cute for them.

If you haven’t read the book, Wicked is a great read!

I just finished reading Wicked, and it is one of the greatest books I’ve ever read. I imagine the musical will be just as great, so you should definitely invest in some tickets :P
I’m worried about looking too young to have kids too. Especially since my kid will be biracial and in all likelihood won’t look anything like me… I don’t want to look like I’m babysitting someone else’s baby…

You do look young, but I don’t think you look that young! I wish I knew how to sew, even a little…
And mom jeans? haha..

I get it too, it is kind of annoying sometimes, but I have learned to take it as a compliment…because looking really young may not last forever! So I enjoy when people ask my mom [or whoever else is with me for that matter] “Whose babies are those!? ::they proceed to point to me:: I know they aren’t yours!” And then I get the standard response of, “I look way too young to have one baby, let alone two.” The youngest I have been told in recent times [ahh getting old is wonderful!!
] is 16 and that was today actually, lol.

On my 21st birthday, I went out to dinner with my family and the host brought me the KIDS MENU. It happens to me all the time. I wouldn’t take offense to it.

I”m 22, but I look younger. People do this to me when I have my daughter out all of the time. They always think I’m a youngster. The best time was when I was 8 months pregnant and lady tried to give me the children’s discount at a restaurant. True story.

oh man, mom jeans are hot! haha
i had a moment today with a grandma at target. i was buying addison a halloween costume. she commented that she was too young to be trick-or-treating. i told her we werent. we were actually going to a halloween party. she told me that it was worse than taking her trick or treating!! i look young too. i think she had images of a drunken frat boy party running through her head & me showing up with a 2 month old baby. hahaha.

1: Wicked is amazing. I have the soundtrack.
2: Whatever you do, don’t buy mom jeans.

aw, take it as a compliement. You are gorgeous and when you are older you will have that youthful look to you.

I get that all the time. And I’m not sure if I should be flattered to look 17, or a little offended???? I have 3 babies and people always look at me weird. I dont care if I’m 23 and babied… People usually talk to me because my girls are 10 months apart and I always get the “OMG that must be sooo hard” and I’m like well at least they arent twins. Having one be 1 yr and one being 2 months is wayyyy easier than I imagine 2 at the same time!

I get that all the time too, but like my mom says “be thankful, when you’re 40 you’ll be happy to look younger.”
October 25th, 2007 at 9:16 am
Having two at the same time is actually really easy.
You wouldn’t expect it to be, but it really is!

I get the exact same thing. When I was pregnant I was always going shopping with my sisters kid and pushing her around in her stroller so I used to get all kinds of strange looks off people. Even know I won’t buy alcohol because they always ask me for ID.. it’s so embarrassing coz I’m 24!

I think you look younger, but not as young as 17! At least they weren’t being rude about it. People always think I’m older than I actually am, and sometimes that can get annoying.

omg I loooove wicked!!!! I actually saw it about 45 times this year here in l.a. I’m OBSESSED
you should see it if it ever tours there… check out http://www.wickedthemusical.com/tour for info on that and get the soundtrack!
popular and defying gravity are my faves.
you do look young and that’s a wonderful thing… you don’t look 17, but you should keep dressin’ cute

oh yeah, the book isn’t like the musical… I don’t really like the book that much but I do like other books by that author. he writes fairytales from different points of view.

Well, if it makes you feel better, every time I go out with my mom and I have my son, everyone automatically assumes that he’s hers. xD I guess it could be taken as a complement. Makes me feel good
