I just love this condo. I’m actually hoping we stay here for longer than just the year lease we signed. The guy who owns this condo lives two condos down and is wanting to sell it so it’s an option to consider. We just love it here. One huge difference I’ve noticed is the air conditioning and heat, and how efficient it seems to be. At all the houses (all haha yah it’s funny to have to say “all the houses” ) we have lived at, the air/heat will run and run and run trying to get to the temperature it’s supposed to be at, and once it’s there it never stayed there very long. The air ran pretty much non stop at all our other places so I know it wasn’t just a problem with a particular unit. Well here at the condo, the air hardly ever runs. Each floor has it’s own unit so that helps too. I’m sure that having the ceilings much lower instead of huge and open helps with the air too. I’m really loving the more closed in feel of this place. It’s more homey feeling this way. Anyway, I’m looking forward to hopefully not having $600 electric bills anymore. Now you can see why we have been wanting to save money! Cutting $1000 off rent and hopefully cutting the electric bill in half or more is going to be so helpful. I don’t care how many times we have moved. It’s better than staying in one place and continuing in the direction we were headed. I just laugh when people tease us about moving so much. It’s like, big deal? We made some mistakes. So does every other newly wed young couple. You live and learn, right?
Anyway, I love the attention to detail that went into building this condo. The little storage places throughout the house are so great. I always want a lot of storage space and it seems like every closet, drawer, or cabinet I open I’m surprised with a huge amount of storage space. They really used every inch of this place that they could extremely efficiently as far as storage goes. I particularly love how some of the kitchen cabinets and the cabinets in the built in TV entertainment thing down stairs have pull out shelves. There’s also an intercom system through out the whole house that also plays music in every room, and of course provides a way to talk to people on a different floor. But, I think one of my favorite things is the bathrooms. In the down stairs bathroom the wall sconce is so pretty. It’s similar to this one except it’s brushed silver color instead of brownish gold. And of course the sinks in the master bathroom are gorgeous. I just love it here.
I’ll have to upload some pictures of what it looks like now that we are almost 100% moved in. Anyway, enough about the condo.
Kathy and Jason (sister and brother in law) and their kids came up Friday and are leaving tomorrow. I love when they come to visit, they’re fun. They’re just like Preston and I so we all get along really well. Right now Preston, TJ, Kathy, and Jason are in the entertainment room playing Rock Band. LOL! It’s actually a really fun game. I think I better get off here and go hang out with them. I brought the girls up to put them in bed and got called over by my Mac.
I think I also hear my home made apple pie calling my name… hehe.
Oh speaking of food, the girls ate green beans for the first time today! It was so cute! Preston got some pictures so I’ll have to post those soon. And I took them to the doctor last week because of their tummy issues, and they did have a virus and it seems to finally be gone now. But I found out that Emma weighs 14lbs 7.5oz and Ava is 15lbs and some odd ounces. It wasn’t technically her appointment so I just had the nurse weigh her real quick and she didn’t write it down. All she remembered was 15lbs but they both have their 6 month well check on the 30th so I’ll know for sure then. I can’t believe how big they are!!! And that they are almost 6 months old! Crazy!
