Our little munchkins are 7 months old today! I don’t even know how that happened so fast.

I’m so tired right now. I think all the hustle of the holidays has finally caught up with me. Everyone has gone home and it’s just me, the hubby, and the twinkies. Tomorrow is Monday, New Year’s Eve. We don’t really have plans for New Year’s Eve besides hang out at home together. I’m going to take down all the Christmas decorations this week and do another clean up of the place. Except I think I’ll take all week to do it instead of cramming it all in one day. I hate using the entire day to clean. I got a light weight vacuum for Christmas too, I forgot to mention that, so that I can vacuum the stairs easily. It’s the kind you can carry and it has all the neat attachments. I never thought I’d see the day where I thought a vacuum cleaner and it’s attachments were neat.

I need a nap. The girls are almost asleep then I’m going to take advantage of the quiet house and lay down for a bit.

I just love hanging out with family. We’ve had a great day today. We had a nice big lunch/dinner and then we opened gifts. The girls got Glow Worms from Grandma and Papa and some toys that they can play with when they are sitting up. Emma just loves attention, she loves “talking” and laughing with everyone. Ava is sweet, she just sits around and watches soaking everything up. I think Ava is getting a cold again, poor baby. But they have been having lots of fun.

I miss my side of the family. It’s always worse around the holidays. This is only the second Christmas ever where I didn’t see them at all for Christmas. My mom (Grammy) made the girls these adorable little capes with hoods, they are so cute. She also embroidered on some overalls and little jackets and added lace to them. I can’t wait for them to fit! I’m sure they will in no time, they are growing so fast!

Preston is getting his pilots license soon, he only has 2 flights left and then his final tests, so we’re planning a trip up to WA to visit my side of the family really soon. I can’t wait! I’m excited to have Preston fly us! After he gets his private pilot license he’s going to continue on with school still and hopefully get a job either being a flight instructor or flying for a cargo place or something like that. Both are good for building his flight hours. I’m so proud of him. He’s wanted to be a pilot since he was little and he finally got the support he needed to accomplish one of his lifelong dreams.

Anyway, I need to go pick up the kitchen and 1st floor. There are so many crickets again… it’s getting really old. My vacuum gets full of crickets. I might just try to find some disposable gloves and just pick them up and toss them outside. Ugh.

I want to start doing video blogs but I’m not sure I’d be good at them. I’m such a dork on camera. I’ll show you just how much of a dork I really am on camera because I’m about to post this video for a blog assignment I did. You can feel free to laugh at me like crazy, because I did it quickly and look totally special. But special in a bad way. But hey at least it was good pay. And I’m sure some of you will have a blast making fun of me.

I came across another really good web hosting site tonight. A lot of people email me asking for a recommendation on where to host their blog so I like to post about these good sites when I come across them. One thing I always used to hate spending money on was expensive hosting. I used to pay a lot to host each of my websites before I met Preston and moved all my sites to his server. It really doesn’t cost much at all to host a blog site, or even a small business site, yet most companies jack up the price unnecessarily. This site, which I linked above, offers plans from as low as $6.95 per month. You really can’t get a better deal than that. They also sell domain names starting as low as $12.00 per year for the .com domains. I remember when I bought my very first domain. It was insydious.net and I paid $39.00 for it! I didn’t shop around before buying the domain because I was only what… 15 I think, so I didn’t know any better.
I just noticed this site also offers good deals on dedicated server plans. We’re looking around for something that costs less as far as what we pay for our current servers but that is comparable to what we have now as far as space, bandwidth, etc. We pay too much right now, in my opinion, for the 3 servers that we have. We do need a lot of bandwidth though so I assume that’s why.
Anyway, gotta go get the girls in bed. Just thought I’d share another good site with yall.
