Love
Today was a pretty darn good day. It wasn’t really anything out of the ordinary, but it just feels like a really good day for some reason. We slept in late this morning, so we ending up having a “jammie day” and all of us stayed in our jammies all day. I accidentally left my phone downstairs last night and it has my alarm on it to get up in the mornings. Well I couldn’t hear my phone from the bedroom, and the girls ended up sleeping until 10am! I was surprised. But we took a morning nap after breakfast anyway, so it was a lazy morning. Then we went to this burger place for lunch called Braums because I’ve been craving it like crazy. It really hit the spot. On the way out the door I checked the mail and found a $31 check from an affiliate program, and a $100 check from my Grandma for Christmas! Score! I also got paid from payu2blog today, which I wasn’t expecting because I got the pay weeks mixed up, so overall, I had a good surprise money day! I love these kind of days! We also got a call from our auto finance company saying that we can defer a payment on our car loans. So that is very, very, very helpful. Having been tight on money lately, it was nice to have a day where I got surprise checks instead of bills and someone calling to tell me that I don’t have to pay something rather then telling me I’m late on something.
My heart is aching today. But like, the good kind. It’s so crazy, I never expected to feel like this after having kids. I always imagined what it would be like to be a mom but it’s so much better than I ever imagined. Ava is just so sweet. She is so lovey and touchy feely and ooohhhhhhhhhh it’s so good it hurts!!! And Emma, she is an amazing little thing. I was putting them to bed and I picked her up and she grabbed my cheeks, pressed her itty bitty nose right against mine and started cracking up! It was so cute. Her laugh is so cute and funny. It starts out as this long “haaaaaaaaaaaaa!” and it’s just so adorable. Anyway, they have both just been their normal selves but it’s pulling at my heart strings extra hard today for some reason. Maybe it’s the holidays that are doing it to me? Either way, it’s good. And my husband, mmmmmmmmmm the cologne. Heh.
Well I almost have the entire house done so I better go finish up before bed. I’m actually proud of myself for getting this much done on it today considering that I got a late start. Oh and if you wear a medical id bracelet, check out that site if you need a new one. Just had to throw that out there.
wow I’m so awesome

Blonde Moments
So this is how smart I am.
Preston and I were on the couch relaxing in front of the fire place, talking about how excited we were for Christmas. He was saying how he is excited to give me my gifts because I’m just going to love them and how I’m going freak over what he got me. Then I said…
“I’m excited to give you your gifts too!!! I really hope you like the colog….”
I totally blew it. This is not the first time I have done this. When I was a teenager, I told my boyfriend at the time, Kyle, “I really hope you like the watch I got you.” I cannot talk about gifts. I am the worst at blurting it out. My inner blonde shines at Christmas and birthdays. So, I tried to play it off…
“Golf shoes… I got you golf shoes.”
Of course that didn’t work because (thank God) Preston doesn’t play golf. So we just laughed at how awesome I am at ruining surprises and I let him open his gift early. He absolutely loved it though. I got him Armani Code
and it is heavenly. Mmmmm he smells scrumptious.
but sleep is so good

Life (Or Something Like It)
After the girls go to bed at night I usually stay up way too late because it’s the only time I actually have to do things completely uninterrupted. It’s nice because I can put them down for bed around 8:30-9:30pm (depending on which schedule we end up on that day) and then I know I’m home free until 8 or 9am the next morning. So I end up staying up until 1am or so, and then I end up staying in bed awake with the hubby until around 3am. Which is all fine and dandy except that I get up the next morning and do the breakfast thing with the girls, put them back in bed around 10am and lately I’ve been going back to bed until noon-ish when they get up for lunch. Which isn’t so bad except when I have a lot to get done, I feel like a bum for going back to sleep and wasting time in bed. But it’s sooooo tempting. I can’t even go down to the second floor right now or else I might find my way back to the bed for “just a second”. Ooooooooh but my bed is so comfy and my husband is so snuggly! Who wants to really clean house anyway? Better to just get back in bed and snuggle.
so much to do so little time

Life (Or Something Like It)
We got the photos in today that we had taken. They turned out so good! I just love them. Tomorrow I’m going to get them ready to send out and give out next week when family is here. I can’t wait for Christmas to get here now. Funny how a couple weeks ago I was not ready but now I am. I can’t wait to spend time with family. I love when everyone comes up to visit. We have fun.
I don’t even know where my day went today. I had so much I wanted to do and I feel like I didn’t get anything done. Bleh. Oh well, there is always tomorrow!

General
Recently I tried some red wine that my Aunt had given me, and I loved it, so I started experimenting with other wines as well. When I had the opportunity to review one of California’s wine clubs, I jumped on it. I received two bottles of wine, a gift card, and “The Wine Press” newsletter from Gold Medal Wine Club. I have to say, I am impressed. Gold Medal Wine Club features two wines each month, this month being the 2003 Madrona Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2004 Madrona Merlot. In the newsletter, there is some in depth information on each wine, along with suggested meals and recipes that the wine will complement nicely. I especially liked this feature of the newsletter because being new to drinking wine; I’m not familiar with which types of wine fit best with certain meals. They also feature the background story of the owners of each month’s particular wine, along with some interesting trivia about wine in general.
Also included with the package I received was a scorecard. After trying each wine, you can judge the wine using the criteria on the scorecard, and the overall results are posted in the next month’s newsletter. I found myself liking the Merlot best, although it was hard to choose a favorite because they were both delicious. I think I enjoyed the Merlot more because it was fruity and sweeter. Overall it seems to be a great wine club offering only the best California has to offer.

Am I crazy for sitting here thinking it would be fun to have triplets? I was watching a video on YouTube of some adorable identical triplets and I think it would be a blast. Having twins is easy, triplets would be a challenge, quads would be hard. But all doable. Except then I would really be asking for one of these nifty stair lifts for Christmas because I wouldn’t want to carry 3 babies up and down 3 flights of stairs! When you have twins as your firsts it’s easy because that’s all you know, so you have nothing to compare it to. I actually hope we have twins again. Having spontaneous fraternal twins makes you twice as likely to have twins again. Woo!
