Ava has discovered how fun it is to shriek as loud as possible. Emma thinks its funny and so she’ll scream back at her and then they go back and forth shrieking and screaming. I on the other hand, do not think it’s so funny. I just put them down for a nap and my ears are ringing.

I’m going to go ahead and say that they are 9 months old today, since there is no 30th this month. They are so big! Ava is starting to pull up on things so I think we’re going to have to lower their cribs soon. I’ll post some cute 9 month pictures of them later tonight.

Well, Grandma will be here this weekend so I better go finish that laundry. Preston flew down to pick her up and bring her here for the weekend. He has to do time building for his next certification so he’s been having a lot of fun flying as a “real” pilot the last couple days. I’m going up with him for the first time tomorrow. I’m excited!

Just as a little side note, I love looking at the search engine hits I get. I always get a little suspicious when I see people searching for mine and Preston’s names though. Anyway, I saw “movers New York” just a minute ago and was like huh? But I guess it came from a post I did a while back. I thought this search result was kinda funny “photo small little less girls”. Someone is searching google for my email address and screen names too. Weirdos. And, I seriously got a kick out of this one “do identical twins have exactly same jeans”. Ha.

I’m getting through book eight in the Stephanie Plum series fairly quickly, and after I was done reading last night, I was thinking that these books would make a pretty good movie. But then again, when books get made into movies, the book is almost always better. In Her Shoes, for example. One of my favorite books. I love the movie as well, but the book is so much better. With In Her Shoes, I was really pleased with the actors that were chosen.
So anyway, I started to think about who would I pick if I was going to cast a movie based on the Stephanie Plum books. And, I’m still pondering this because I cannot think of anyone who I think would fit the characters perfectly. It’s one of those silly things you think about and then can’t get out of your head until you figure it out. I guess. That, or I’m just really weird. Please tell me I’m not the only “reader” who thinks about things like this!
Preston brought me home a bag of Sour Patch Kids because I love the red ones. I always pick the red ones out, and the red is always the color that there is the least of. Why do they put so many green and orange ones in the bag? These are the serious things that I ponder about life. Not only is my tongue feeling a bit raw now, but if I don’t put this bag away I’m going to need some Hydroxycut to get back into my jeans.*
So yah, as you can tell I don’t really have anything awesome to say tonight. I could tell you that I cleaned the house today and the laundry that needs to be folded is haunting me, but then that would be kind of boring. Right? Not that this post in general wasn’t boring or anything…
I hate when I can’t think of anything interesting to say.

*Disclaimer: In an attempt to prevent rumors, I have never and would never take diet pills.

I’m now married to a PILOT! I’m so proud of Preston! He did fabulous on his final flight! He’s worked so hard toward this and he’s done amazing the entire way. He’s wanted to be a pilot his whole life. He deserves this!

The girls had their first peanut butter and jelly sandwich today, minus the peanut butter. They absolutely loved it. Neither of them could get enough of the sticky goodness! They are getting so good at eating “regular” food. They don’t quite have the pincer grasp down yet so they have a hard time getting food in their mouths on their own, but sometimes they get lucky and manage to get something. I was concerned that it was going to take Emma a while longer to adjust to eating things other than baby food because at first she would gag on everything that we gave her unless it was pureed. I think it was the different textures that she wasn’t used to. She’s doing really well now though. It’s so darn cute to watch them chew things! And when they eat little baby crackers and their teeth make a little crunch noise… hehe it’s so adorable!

So I’m working on my grocery list and I think I’ve decided that I’m not going to buy any baby food this week. The girls were starting to go through so much baby food and with two that can be incredibly expensive. Heck, even with one it can kill your budget. But since they are doing so well with actual solids I think it’s safe to ditch the baby food. It was nice when I was able to make my own baby food but with the amount of water I was having to add in order to get the food mashed enough, it just ended up being too runny once they started being able to eat thicker foods.

Preston is still at school doing his oral exam. I’m anxiously waiting to hear from him. Okay he called and he passes his oral exam! They rescheduled his flight for tomorrow so hopefully the weather will finally cooperate! Anyway, back to the grocery list!
