The girls had their first peanut butter and jelly sandwich today, minus the peanut butter. They absolutely loved it. Neither of them could get enough of the sticky goodness!
They are getting so good at eating “regular” food. They don’t quite have the pincer grasp down yet so they have a hard time getting food in their mouths on their own, but sometimes they get lucky and manage to get something. I was concerned that it was going to take Emma a while longer to adjust to eating things other than baby food because at first she would gag on everything that we gave her unless it was pureed. I think it was the different textures that she wasn’t used to. She’s doing really well now though. It’s so darn cute to watch them chew things! And when they eat little baby crackers and their teeth make a little crunch noise… hehe it’s so adorable!
So I’m working on my grocery list and I think I’ve decided that I’m not going to buy any baby food this week. The girls were starting to go through so much baby food and with two that can be incredibly expensive. Heck, even with one it can kill your budget. But since they are doing so well with actual solids I think it’s safe to ditch the baby food. It was nice when I was able to make my own baby food but with the amount of water I was having to add in order to get the food mashed enough, it just ended up being too runny once they started being able to eat thicker foods.
Preston is still at school doing his oral exam. I’m anxiously waiting to hear from him. Okay he called and he passes his oral exam! They rescheduled his flight for tomorrow so hopefully the weather will finally cooperate! Anyway, back to the grocery list!

I love the crunch noise! How can a crunch noise be so cute? That’s cute though!

my alexandria just turned 1 on the 11th. when she started eating cheerios, she would gag & gag. it took her almost a week to figure out how to eat them properly! it definitely is new textures, because she would gag on ANYTHING new we introduced to her. she has 10 teeth, so the chewing isn’t a problem.
anyways congrats your girls are graduating to table foods. yay!
