WTF?
Sorry I’ve been neglecting the blog lately. I’ve been spending all my free time working on getting the store up and running. I’m hoping that it will open tomorrow, but if not then Wednesday for sure! I’ll let you know.
The girls turned 10 months old yesterday! I know the next two months are going to fly by and then all of a sudden they’ll be a year old.
They aren’t baby babies anymore!
So, I about just hyper ventilated 20 minutes ago. Here in the town we live in, they have tornado warning sirens that they test weekly on completely clear sunny days. Well I’m sitting up here at my desk and all of a sudden the sirens start going off. And today has been everything but clear and sunny. It’s been dark and stormy all day and really warm. Well of course I got freaked out and went down stairs and Preston, my dad, and brother are outside on the front porch and there is this huge cloud that is starting to circle and form a funnel. I was like oooooooooooooooh my gosh I’m going to die. It seriously looked like it was about to touch down. Everyone was out on their front steps and traffic was starting to pile up under the over pass. Then a neighbor told us that a tornado had just touched down near Ikea, which is just a 2 minute drive south of our condo. You could see this huge cloud circling and getting closer and closer to the ground. Everyone thought for sure it was going to touch down. Luckily the huge thing just passed right by without touching down. The whole time sirens are going off and I’m freaking the heck out.
Coming from WA I’ve been in my share of earth quakes. I can do earth quakes. I cannot do tornados. No way, no thank you, nope.
And now it’s getting clear and the sun is shining. Texas weather is weird.
p.s. I upgraded wordpress and I may have lost a couple comments during that. Sorry if yours ended up getting lost in the upgrade.
Big babies!

Ashton is here for the day (9 whole hours, wow! lol) and the girls were soooo excited to see her. They have been playing all morning and now Emma and Ava are out. Ava fell asleep on her back, which she never does, still holding her bottle. She’s precious.
So I’m thinking it will be probably a week before the boutique opens. Thank you so much to everyone for the support!
I have figured out how I’m going to ship things so I need to order the supplies, that’s all I’m really waiting on. And for the business cards to get in. I’m so excited! I’m going to have a grand opening sale so you’ll want to keep your eye open for the launch date!
Geez, I was just looking at the calendar and I cannot believe how fast March went by!!! Tomorrow my lil babies are 10 months old! CRAZY. I really need to get them in for a check up now that the insurance is active again. Gotta do that next week for sure. They are getting so big. I was at the craft store the other day and the lady checking me out guessed that they were 18 months old!!! I’m like uh, no. Everyone comments on how big they are but really they are pip-squeaks compared to others their age. They just now are out growing 9mo sized clothes. Emma can even wear some 6mo still. I think having them in the stroller without the carriers makes them look bigger or something.
Well anyway, better get off here and go hang out with the family! Also, Franke sinks are pretty nice. lol
soon!

The Internets
Since my baby boutique is almost ready to open, I’ve been putting a lot of thought into how to pack/ship and advertise my store. I was at Vista Print working on an order for my business cards and I noticed that they also have car door magnets now too. What a perfect way to advertise your business! I’m going to order one and put it on the back of my Armada (next to my “Twins on Board” magnet hehe) and hopefully it will get some traffic to my store. Seriously, I’m so excited about this! I think it’s going to do really well.
Last night I bought some supplies on ebay and got some really great deals. I love shopping on the internet because you can find things that local craft stores don’t have. I was looking for this one particular kind of applique and I haven’t been able to find it but sure enough, I found it on ebay!
So, does anyone have any other good advertising ideas? I have been wearing the clips I made and have been putting them on the girls (don’t worry, I’m not selling the ones we wear) and once I get my business cards in I’ll start giving them to people who ask about the bows/clips on the girls. People have asked about them already but I haven’t been able to give them a card yet. I love Vista Print because they always have sweet deals. You can actually get free business cards there. But I really think this car magnet is a great idea. It’s not permanent like other decals that people use to advertise businesses on their cars.
Okay anyway, back to work for me!
Sweet babies

It’s so nice to have Preston back home!
The girls were soooooooo excited to see him this morning. It was the sweetest thing ever.
So my dad is down here for a little bit. It’s nice having him around. The girls have already warmed up to him so that’s good. The last time they saw him was when they were 3 months old. We went out and did a little shopping today, that’s about it. Now I’m going to go finish dinner! Here’s a couple cute pictures to make this post more interesting!

My baby boutique is almost ready to be open!
I can’t wait!
P.S. Here is a good site for travel supplies like tsa locks and other useful stuff. The thing I love the most about having a husband who is a pilot - no going through security checks!
Early to bed, late to rise

Love
There was a time when I was pregnant when someone told me not to keep the girls up late in hopes that they will sleep later. I kind of thought that seemed like silly advice because obviously if you stay up later you will want to sleep later, right? No. This person was totally right. I have been putting the girls to bed around 9pm-ish lately and they have been waking up at 8am every morning no matter how late they stayed up. I’m not a morning person so I haven’t been too thrilled about this. Well last night they started acting sleepy early and I was going bonkers trying to keep them out of everything all day by myself so I decided that they were going to go to bed early. I started getting them ready for bed at 7:30pm and they were in bed by 8pm. Sure enough, they didn’t wake up until 10am today!!! I actually woke up before they did. So I’m going to get them to bed earlier from now on and see if they will sleep a little later, 9am is good, if I put them to bed early. Who woulda thought?
So speaking of by myself, Preston has been out of town since early Monday morning. My dad is coming down here to look for a job because he and my mom are considering moving down here, and so Preston went to pick him up so that he could build his flight hours. They are getting back tonight sometime. I’ve missed him so much! This is the longest we have been apart since we met! And it’s the only time I’ve ever gone to bed without him too.
So I can’t wait for him to get home. I’ve realized the last couple of days how much of a help he is with the girls. I’m so thankful to have him. I’ve gotten a work out going up from the first floor to the third floor twice every time I need to come up here! Usually Preston or my brother carries one of the girls for me but since I’m here all by my lonesome, I’ve had to go up and down, up and down. It’s not so bad. I’m just complaining. I miss my hubby!
