These videos are just one of the many, many reasons I love the church we attend. I love how they embrace the technological times. It’s always fun to see what new ways they come up with to catch people’s attention. If you live in the Dallas area, you should come to Fellowship Church for their Easter service. It’s going to be awesome! This will of course be the girls first Easter and I’m really looking forward to it. They get their first little adorable Easter dresses and everything. Hehe!
And their first Easter baskets, and of course their first Easter service at church. The first time I attended church with Preston was actually for an Easter service down at the church he grew up going to.
I need a new pair of “skater shoes”. I’m not actually a “skater”… I don’t skateboard or do any other alternative sports myself, but I’ve always been very into the whole “skater scene” anyway. I don’t really like putting labels on people but if you were to describe my style it wouldn’t be preppy, punk, gothic, classic… it would be “skater”. Which is kind of funny because like I said, I don’t personally skate.

“You reap what you sow.”
A pretty common expression meaning everything that happens to you is a result of your own actions.
Funny Preston’s ex-wife should be the one to quote this in an angry email reply after Preston asked if Ashton could come tonight and stay the night since she is supposed to come tomorrow morning and be here for the day. She is probably the most perfect example of reaping and sowing. She is doing things that are destroying Ashton, and she’s currently “sowing” it. And it’s only going to get worse for her.
I’m confident that our reaping will in the end turn out to be quite lovely sowing. It has thus far.
As you can probably tell by my recent frustrations, she’s spending a lot of her time lately trying to “get” at Preston. It’s frustrating but it’s worth putting up with because in the end, evil never wins.
While we were at Ashton’s school choir performance last night, I noticed that Ava’s two top front teeth have broken through! AWW! They are so stinkin’ cute! You can’t really see them well enough yet for a photo but once they are out further, you’ll be able to delight in the cuteness. I still haven’t really been able to get a good photo of Emma’s two bottom teeth that she’s had for a while now. Apparently she’s not too fond of having a camera in her mouth.
Ashton’s performance was a total overload of adorableness. Little kids singing is one of the best things ever. Preston got some good video of her singing. I will most likely post some of the video later tonight.
For now, I am going to attempt to get something done while the girls are finally napping. (Thank you Lord!)

I was browsing the news and this caught my eye: Mom Throws 2 Kids From Dallas Overpass, Then Jumps; All 3 Survive. If those kids surviving is not an act of God then I don’t know what is. Seriously, what is with people?!!? I hope that woman spends the rest of her life in jail and never has access to those kids again. This article says she “has a criminal history that includes aggravated robbery and burglary” and “had a history with Child Protective Services in which the agency conducted some minor interventions”. Why on earth did this woman have access to these children beyond the aggravated robbery and burglary??? Maybe that was before she had the kids… but does it surprise you that she then had investigations with CPS? Geez.
It’s becoming increasingly harder to keep the girls “on the same page” every day now that they are getting older. I completely stand by the whole “schedule thing” with young babies but lately our schedule has been very lenient. Ava is no longer wanting to take her morning nap, but Emma is, and so Ava is awake while Emma is sleeping, and then that makes them end up wanting lunch at different times. Maintaining some kind of routine is extremely important to my sanity. I can’t do two lunch times and two dinner times every day, so something has to be worked out. I’m thinking that it’s inevitable that Emma will eventually want to stay up longer in the mornings and so she’ll probably adjust fairly easily into Ava’s new routine.
Preston and I think that Emma might be having night terrors. Both girls sleep through the night extremely well, in their own cribs, and have been doing so since they were about about 3-3.5 months old. Recently Emma has been waking up about once a week in the middle of the night screaming bloody murder like you would not believe. Everything will be fine an then all of a sudden she goes from 0-60 in .2 seconds. It’s awful. One of us will pick her up and hold her but she will continue to scream and scream as loud as humanly possible. I’ve never heard anything like it in my life, no joke. Nothing we do comforts her or makes her stop screaming. Normally when she screams or cries we can comfort her by picking her up, rocking her, giving her a toy, etc. but not with this. Her eyes are usually closed or if they are open she looks like she’s very disoriented. Putting her back to bed screaming hasn’t done any good so far so we have been able to get her to take a bottle in order to go back to sleep, but only after at least 5-10 minutes of constant screaming. According to this baby center article we should just leave her alone and let it pass. That is going to be extremely hard for me to do because it’s really the most awful thing when it happens.
Well, I have some things to get done before we have to leave to have dinner with Ashton. She has a school performance tonight as well that is during our dinner time so we are taking her to that too. Can you believe that that caused drama too? A simple school performance and the fact that her mom did not want us to be the ones to take her. Drama lama! Bleh. Better go get my mom jeans and black loafers with white socks on so I can fit in with the mom crowd in that town.
I recently bought iLife ‘08 on ebay, thinking that I was getting a really awesome deal. I won the auction on a “brand new, sealed, never been opened” 5 user family edition of iLife ‘08 for $59.59 (compared to the $99 retail price). It was said in the auction that the item “looks exactly like the one pictured”. The one pictured being a sealed, brand new, unopened copy.
99.9% of my experiences on ebay have been great. I looooove ebay. This particular transaction turned out, so far, to be not so great. I had to email the seller twice before they actually shipped the item out. Then, a week after the last email I sent I got the package in the mail. What I got was a single cd, NOT in the package, NOT sealed, obviously NOT brand new. The cd has permanent marker writing on the front that reads “tested #479″ and several scratches and smudge marks on the readable surface. The package in which this cd came in is the best part. The cd arrived in a cut in half bubble mailer, stapled closed. There are two strips of Duck Tape covering up holes in the bubble mailer. The addresses were printed on a piece of paper and it looks like a 6 year old might have been the one to cut the paper down to the size required to fit on the envelope.
