Tada! A new theme.
It’s very summery wouldn’t you say? I made it last night and finished it up today while Emma was napping. She has a cold… again. So Ava has been hanging out with Grandma while Emma slept. Preston has a flight today, and he’s suppose to come down here tonight but right now it’s stormy down here so we’ll see if he’s able to. I might end up staying here longer than planned. That’s fine by me! I don’t want to go back home yet anyway.
I’m enjoying the quietness and lack of house cleaning.
Anyway, better go see what Grandma and Ava are up to!
Preston is shooting a wedding today, and he has a flight with one of his instructors tomorrow, so I am down here at his parents house staying in their cabin. I love it down here. It’s so peaceful and quiet. His dad built a guest cabin that is off the road out in the trees and it’s great. I love staying here. It’s just a short walk up to his parents house. I bought this wagon to use to take the girls from the cabin up to see Grandma and Papa. I tried using the stroller but it just wasn’t cutting it. This wagon is awesome! I’m going to post a review on it later today.
So I’m down here relaxing with the girls and then Preston is going to fly down here and pick us up Sunday. Well, he’s coming down Sunday but we are going to leave Monday. I love having a husband who is a pilot! It takes a 2 hour drive and turns it into a 30 minute flight!
Some travel insurance might come in handy some day if we fly as much as we are hoping we’ll be able to!
Well, I’m off to get some diapers. Ugh. I hate having to buy diapers! I can’t wait until the girls are potty trained.
This week I started transitioning the girls from formula to milk. So far so good! Incase you are wondering, their pediatrician told me to wait until they are 13 months old to start milk, since they were 5 weeks early. They are at half formula, half whole organic milk. I don’t buy everything organic, but when it comes to milk and meat, I buy organic when possible. Horizon Organic Milk has whole milk out now with added DHA, but so far I haven’t seen it in our stores. Hopefully one of the grocery stores around here will start to carry it.
I’m happy that we will get rid of our formula bill! Organic milk isn’t cheap but it’s less than formula. I figure that 1 gal will last us 6.5 days at the rate the girls currently drink, so that’s about… $7 every 6.5 days. Not bad! They still have 3 bottles a day but I think the middle of the day bottle can be cut out soon. It’s more for their comfort than because they are hungry, which I tried to avoid, but it happened. Oh well. They need the bottle at their mid day nap to fall asleep. I’m sure that will be a hard one to ween them off of.
And on the topic of babies, CONGRATS to Pam and her Hubby on their new bean!!! They are going to have so much fun!
I miss being pregnant. I think my favorite part of baby shopping was picking out crib bedding and planning the nursery. Those were the days.
All 4th of July items are on sale! Go pick up a cute holiday bow for your little girl!
Thank so much for the support guys!
I think I’ll keep this blog up and make a new one that is for friends/family/fans only that is more personal. Don’t worry, I think most everyone that posted a comment on the other post would get access. And those that didn’t post a comment too that I already know. Either way, don’t worry.
Anyway, I’m real tired so I think I’m off to bed!
