I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but this is my blog. I make the rules here. If you want to have your own little place to post opinions and make your own rules on things, go make your own blog.
The reason I originally chose to close comments on the abortion post is simply because last night when I posted that, I didn’t have the energy to read through comments telling me how wrong I am and how it’s okay to kill innocent unborn children. Just because I don’t have the energy to listen to liberals babble at some point, doesn’t mean that I don’t listen to the other side. I listen. Trust me. I hear you loud and clear. Killing unborn babies is okay. Got ‘cha.
The fact is that abortion is a very heated discussion. Very few people have the ability to discuss abortion in a respectable way without throwing around insults and flat out garbage. Also, the chances of someone changing someones opinion on abortion, I think, is very slim. So, what’s the point in allowing my comments to get flooded with arguments and hateful nonsense? I don’t have to allow people to comment here. Comments here on my blog are a privilege, not a right.
So, I will ask again, if you are going to comment on heated topics on my blog, please do so with as much respect as you can muster up. You don’t have to throw insults around in an attempt to prove a point. If the comments get out of control, based on my definition of “out of control”, I will close them again and you’ll have to go piss and moan on your own little blog about it. Mmmmk?
Lasik surgery anyone?

Hey Sarah, just wanted to let you know that I support you 100%. You’re right, abortion is a very heated discussion… but the truth is that it is something that we need to be able to talk about in a civilized, respectful matter.
My heart goes out to the Palin family because I know that dealing with this unplanned pregnancy won’t be easy. It has turned Bristol’s life upside down, not to mention proving that parents cannot control their teenage children. But now they’re doing what is right… Bristol will have the baby, and her parents are supporting her all the way. For Bristol to be able to marry the father is just icing on the cake.
I’m sorry that you got attacked on the whole abortion issue, but like the other commentators have said, the liberals just can’t handle your opinions. And if Obama’s elected… well, God help us because at that point He’ll be the only one who can.

Well said Melinda. Obama is a nightmare. If you didn’t watch the RNC tonight, you missed facts, that make up for all the crap that the DNC sewed.

Thanks Preston (and Sarah). Reading this blog gets me so fired up. On one hand, I find comments from liberals who call you narrow minded terribly amusing. I mean, there’s nothing more narrow minded than calling someone narrow minded! On the other hand, those comments infuriate me. I’m sure you understand!
Anyway, it’s refreshing to see others out there who are speaking the truth - the science and the political reality of abortion.
