Since my baby boutique is almost ready to open, I’ve been putting a lot of thought into how to pack/ship and advertise my store. I was at Vista Print working on an order for my business cards and I noticed that they also have car door magnets now too. What a perfect way to advertise your business! I’m going to order one and put it on the back of my Armada (next to my “Twins on Board” magnet hehe) and hopefully it will get some traffic to my store. Seriously, I’m so excited about this! I think it’s going to do really well.
Last night I bought some supplies on ebay and got some really great deals. I love shopping on the internet because you can find things that local craft stores don’t have. I was looking for this one particular kind of applique and I haven’t been able to find it but sure enough, I found it on ebay!
So, does anyone have any other good advertising ideas? I have been wearing the clips I made and have been putting them on the girls (don’t worry, I’m not selling the ones we wear) and once I get my business cards in I’ll start giving them to people who ask about the bows/clips on the girls. People have asked about them already but I haven’t been able to give them a card yet. I love Vista Print because they always have sweet deals. You can actually get free business cards there. But I really think this car magnet is a great idea. It’s not permanent like other decals that people use to advertise businesses on their cars.
Okay anyway, back to work for me!
It’s so nice to have Preston back home!
The girls were soooooooo excited to see him this morning. It was the sweetest thing ever.
So my dad is down here for a little bit. It’s nice having him around. The girls have already warmed up to him so that’s good. The last time they saw him was when they were 3 months old. We went out and did a little shopping today, that’s about it. Now I’m going to go finish dinner! Here’s a couple cute pictures to make this post more interesting!

My baby boutique is almost ready to be open!
I can’t wait!
P.S. Here is a good site for travel supplies like tsa locks and other useful stuff. The thing I love the most about having a husband who is a pilot - no going through security checks!
Easter was great, the girls looked super cute in their dresses and they weren’t sure what to think about their little baskets. I got some cute pictures that I’ll upload soon. I am behind on photo updates for our family website. The thing is that I have to boot into Windows to get the photos resized the fastest and I always forget because I almost never boot into Windows. It makes my Mac grumpy when I infest it with Windows. I’ll get them done soon though.
I’ve been making things for my baby boutique that I’m going to open. Seriously, I’m so stoked about this. I’ve been having so much fun making things and not that I’m biased or anything, but it’s all really stinkin’ cute! I’ve been working on the store website too. Tee hee hee!
I can’t wait to show you!
Well, not much to say! Except, do you need Delta machinery? I don’t, but maybe you do? Lol
I’ve been working on a few crafty ideas and I have decided that I’m going to start an online baby store. I don’t want it to be a small little thing either, I have big plans for it.
It’s going to be good. The domain name I want is for sale, and I’m waiting to hear back from the woman about it. I need to think of a backup name incase this falls through but I can’t think of anything that I like as much. I hate when good domains are taken but just being used for nothingness. This particular domain is not like that, but all the other names I like are just ad pages. Ugh. I’ll tell you guys more about this later though. I’m very super excited about it.
I haven’t forgotten about my scrapbooking site either. I just haven’t been scrapbooking as much lately because I’ve been interested in other things. I tend to scrapbook in bursts. I’ll do it for a while then I’ll quit for a while. It’s an expensive hobby too, so that holds me back a little.
OMG guess what? Ava actually crawled today! She’s been “crawling” for a while now but she had always used her elbows and not really her hands and knees but today she actually crawled on her hands and knees! Real crawling! It was so cute! Emma is still doing the one arm elbow crawl heh but she’ll catch up soon. Ava is also pulling up on things and “cruising”, but it’s on her knees and not her feet yet. SO CUTE!
Anyway, not much to say the last couple days. Just brainstorming ideas for my new project. I’m determined to make this baby store a success.
Oh and um, hey, check out this Technomarine watch. Pretty cool, right? I don’t prefer water sports so I wouldn’t need a watch like that but who knows, maybe you do?
I actually am not really a watch person…
I’m excited to say that tonight I finished the layout for my new scrapbooking site!
Please go check it out and tell me what you think! If you would like to help contribute to the site, please send me an email. You can find ways to contact me on the contact page.
Now I’m going to bed!
This is a traditional scrapbook page I finished this morning. It’s the first page in an album I’m making about mine and Preston’s relationship.
I bought a domain a while back to devote entirely to scrapbooking so maybe now is the time to put it up? I’ve been collecting things I wanted to include on the site and thinking about what I want to write some tutorials on. I actually have pretty big plans for the site but I need to start small. Anyway…. here’s a peek: aloadofscrap.com.
