I hope everyone has had a good holiday weekend!
I’m a little late on wishing a happy 4th of July.
We had Preston’s sister and her family up here this weekend for the holiday and we barbecued some awesome chicken, then we watched fire works and all that fun stuff. Then Saturday night Preston took me out on a date.
We flew to my favorite pizza place and had some yummy pizza. I love flying! I also love watching him fly the plane, he’s so smart and just does everything like it comes so natural to him. He’s a really good pilot.
Emma is feeling sooooo much better. I think she will be back at 100% in another day or two. OH! Guess what?! Ava WALKED!!! Yes, that’s right. She took her first steps! She didn’t do it on purpose, she wasn’t paying attention and went from the couch to the coffee table without holding on to anything! But, we can’t get her to do it again! She can stand on her own really well for a long period of time but she’s afraid to walk without holding onto anything. Except of course, when she’s not paying attention.
Anyway, I added a couple new things to my boutique today that I had been meaning to add for a little while now. I have some other things that I’m working on in my spare time (which is almost non existent) that I will be adding soon so check back!
Ugh, so, things are about to get hectic around here and I’ll tell you all about it in a private entry later. Look out for that too! For now I’m going to go work on some more bows while the girls are napping.
P.S. Here’s a good site for cheap hotels if you are needing one!

This weekend while we were visiting family, we found a turtle! It was so neat, I have never seen a turtle “in the wild” before. He was walking up the gravel drive way that leads to the guest cabin. Emma was very curious about the turtle. She loved it!

She is very curious about things, especially animals, and isn’t afraid to explore. Ava on the other hand, did not want anything to do with the turtle. She refused to touch it and instead just sat back and quietly watched like she usually does. She is not an explorer like Emma. She’s the quiet thinker, always watching everything and trying to figure it out.
After petting the turtle Preston took him back to the woods where he would be happy and safe.
And Preston just pointed out that Emma is wearing a dress with a turtle on it in these pictures. How funny!

So, my parents have decided not to stay in Texas. They came down here this month and intended to live here, but they changed their mind. I think mostly because their house up in WA was not selling (thanks to the crap housing market up there) so, they are starting the drive back to WA tomorrow. I’m pretty sad about it, but I know it’ll work out for them how it’s supposed to. Maybe their house wasn’t selling for a reason. It wasn’t on the market for very long at all, but the realtor said it needed a lot more work then they anticipated in order for it to sell for a decent price. My sister’s boyfriend missed his family, they were very close, and my two nephews miss their daddy. And, Preston and I personally know that it is very hard for a kid to be away from their Daddy, so we really felt bad for the kids. I’m happy they will be close to their Daddy. They will be so much happier that way. So, I think it is a good thing they are going back, just to name a couple reasons. I guess TX just wasn’t right for them. Although they were not here very long, I think none of them felt right here from the start. I dunno. Like I said, I’m sad. But I’ll get over it, as long as they are happy.
So, that is what has been going on that has been stressful. They just got here this month and they couldn’t decide if they wanted to go back or not. Now that they have made a final decision, I think everyone will be a lot happier and a lot more stress free. I hope. I want my family to be happy.
Well other than that, things are great!
There is a big change that is going to happen in mine and Preston’s life soon… but it’s a secret right now. I can’t tell you yet! Except family, family can know.
I’ll tell everyone else when the time is right.
Alright well I’m actually on our laptop in the car right now driving with the hubby and kids to visit Preston’s parents again. We’re going to find some fun things to do down there for the rest of the week/weekend, so I probably won’t post again until Monday. I hope everyone has a good weekend!!!
p.s. I finished book 10 today, and I thought it was so good!!! It’s my favorite so far besides the first book. I can’t believe this one got bad reviews, I loved it!

I’m glad the last section of the love story was enjoyed!
This weekend we had Preston’s mom and sister up here so we’ve been doing family things all weekend. It’s been so nice but it’s really hot and although I like the heat, I’m still a wuss about it. I like to go outside for a little bit and then come back into the AC. Three years in Texas and I’m still not used to the heat and humidity.
There’s not much else to say right now really. I’m so hungry. I’m making lasagna tonight and I can’t wait. I make some gooood lasagna! But for now I think I’m going to go attempt to get a dead wasp off the chandeliers in the hall way. I would just leave them there except I’ve been doing my spring cleaning you know and so they are really clean. I want to keep them that way! We have had several wasps in the house lately but it seems like they are coming in and then dying right away. They still freak me out though. I get paranoid about one of the girls getting stung! :-/ I seriously hate bugs. A lot.

Holy moly the girls are 11 months old today!!! I’m going to be so sad next month on their 1st birthday. But you know, a happy kind of sad. Their party is going to be so much fun! I cannot wait! It’s going to be at Preston’s parents house and everyone is going to be there. My parents, brother, sister, and her two boys will be living down here by then too so it’s really just going to be a lot of fun.
Hopefully Ashton will be allowed to go… but we’ll see. We’re going down there that Friday and not coming back until Sunday, so it’ll be a whole weekend type thing. Basically, I’m really looking forward to it!
So yesterday my Dad and brother flew back to WA to help my Mom get the house ready to sell. My Dad and brother will be back in two weeks, and then my Mom and sister will be here shortly after that. My parents decided to move down here and my sister and her boys are coming along too. It’s going to be really nice to have them closer!
Preston started tearing his office apart yesterday because he wanted to rearrange it. So, while he was doing that it gave me the urge to do some serious spring cleaning. I did the kitchen, breakfast area, and downstairs living room yesterday and it is sparkling. Seriously, if you saw it your eyes would hurt from how shiny it is. Today I’ll probably tackle the dinning room, 1st floor bathroom, and the entry way. Although I really don’t like to clean, it’s very satisfying to see the extremely clean kitchen every time I go down stairs. I keep a clean house, but this is like a whole new level of clean. Seriously. Spring cleaning. Try it.
Okay I need to get off here and work on some orders but I may need a Pepsi for energy in order to get through them. I have a headache today and working with small objects while you have a headache is not something I would advise. I think it’s a “lack of caffeine headache”. I probably need drug rehab for caffeine addiction.
