laser tattoo removal
10:53 pm ~ 2

I was helping a friend of mine in Houston look for places to get a tattoo removed recently and came across New Look Laser Tattoo Removal. I’m not sure if she ever ended up going there or not but I came across the site again today and they’ve completely redesigned their site. It looks really good. The clinic only deals with tattoo removal and has tons of info on the topic at their site. The before and after pictures are really neat to see. Most of them you can’t even tell had tattoos. You would never be able to guess this friend of mine had a tattoo after it was removed.

I don’t plan on having any tattoos removed anytime soon… in fact I want another one! But if it’s something you’re thinking about and you’re in the area, check out the site. It has a lot of helpful information.

Who wants sexy legs?

On my list of New Year’s resolutions is to lose these last 4lbs of pregnancy weight that is hanging out on my thighs and booty. I know you can’t “spot burn” fat, but you can tone certain areas and that’s definitely what I need to do. We have an elliptical machine I don’t know why I don’t make time to use it because if I did I know the weight would drop off. I’m blessed in being able to lose weight quickly if I actually work out. Carrying two babies (15lbs and 17lbs) up three flights of stairs has been giving me a nice workout though. I need something like this Leg Magic thing. Call me weird but it just looks fun! LOL! I get a visual of Preston and I competing to see who can go the fastest on it. We’re pretty much dorks like that.

Anyway, I had to kill some time while Emma fell back asleep. Now I’m going to bed.

I don’t get along with alarm clocks
10:27 am ~ 4

The other day I had to be at an appointment early, so I planned on getting up way ahead of time so that I’d have time to wash my hair, get ready, get the girls ready, and grab something to eat if I was lucky. I’m famous for turning off my alarm clock without even realizing it. I always have to put my cell phone all the way across the room so that I have to get out of bed to turn the alarm off. Well this particular morning I was apparently extremely tired because I didn’t even hear my alarm go off. I slept in and barely had enough time to get myself dressed and get the girls ready. I had to throw my hair up and run out the door.
I was thinking, it would have been the perfect time to have some of this dry shampoo stuff. You can just spray it on between shampoos to freshen up your hair. It’s a good idea to keep some around for emergencies. I have heard that you can use baby powder for a similar effect but that leaves your hair with a white residue, unlike this stuff that has color matching shades. Not only would this shampoo be good when you’re in a hurry, it’s ideal for traveling and camping too when you don’t have access to a facility to wash your hair. I hate the feeling and look of dirty hair, so this would come in handy for me in travel situations especially. And of course, when I sleep in.

I always forget these things

Am I the only one that forgets to refill my prescriptions every month? I was just in my room and realized that I need both my prescriptions refilled! And the bad part is that we are between insurance companies right now so I will probably have to attempt to pay full price for them. I guess full price for birth control pills one month is cheaper than another baby, right? Maybe I can get my pills cheaper if I order them online from a Canadian Pharmacy or something. Really though, sending in my prescriptions online to be refilled might be a good idea, maybe that way I won’t forget to refill them. I bet you can have them automatically refilled. But then I still have to remember to go pick them up. You would think that I wouldn’t forget something as important as this but what can I say, I’m a ditz sometimes.

more beauty tips

I was still reading around some health and beauty websites tonight… I have no idea why since I really have a lot to get done and here I am browsing health and beauty sites… but anyway I found some good tips for your skin at acne.com. I’ve been really lucky and never had much acne but I know people who have and it can be really hard to deal with. This site has tons of information about your skin and tips on how to keep it in top shape. Even though I’ve never had bad acne, I do obviously want to keep blemishes to a minimum so I do use proactiv to help my skin look it’s best. It’s really great stuff. I’m sure you’ve heard of it before. I used to get these bumps on my forehead, they weren’t zits, they were just these tiny bumps but now I don’t get them ever since I started to use proactiv. I know there is a lot of hype around the product but it really does work well. So, if you’ve thought about trying it and was hesitant, take it from me, it’s good stuff.

makeup

I don’t know about you, but I don’t wear makeup very often. I just never have really felt like I needed makeup every day to go out into public. Except mascara, I can’t do anything without mascara. But that’s it. And some “no I’m not wearing lip gloss, my lips just look this fabulous on their own” lip gloss. You know, the kind that looks natural. Anyway, I still like reading about makeup tips for those times when I do feel like taking the time to do something outside the norm. I found some good tips on this makeup website. I found the “know where to glow” tip in the cheeks section interesting and helpful, because I’ve never really paid attention to where blush should be applied. I always just put it where it looked best… so I guess I wasn’t too far off. Anyway, something to read when you get a spare minute. (Spare minute? What’s that?)

sick

I don’t know what happened, it was like I was fine one day and sick as a dog the next. I feel so, so, so crappy. I haven’t been this sick in a long time. Emma has it too, poor thing, and she has an ear infection. I’ve been sleeping most of the day. I don’t know what I’d do without Preston. He’s been taking care of me and the girls and letting me sleep all day. He’s the best.
Anyway, back to bed for me. I hope I get over this soon.
