That's like watching a man walk into a bank with a mask and a gun and saying, 'He's probably just there to cash a check'.

getting ready

So, we went down and signed our lease today. Now we just have to wait for the landlord to bring the keys to them and then we can go pick them up. That should happen this evening or tomorrow morning. I’m glad they are giving them to us early, that way we will have the weekend to move. I am really not feeling like packing this afternoon but I need to get it done. Then the next fun step after moving everything will be to unpack it all before we have family up for Thanksgiving next weekend. It’s going to be interesting to move with two little ones… I wish I had someone close that I trusted to babysit. I need to find a good babysitter but I’m really paranoid.

Anyway, I have a lot to do. Better get with it.

I hate packing. I actually just really hate everything that goes along with moving. Having to transfer all your services and junk like that. But, I am going to love having that extra money every month, so it’s worth it. It’s really going to help. We have quite a few things to do on Monday so I think they are going to give us the keys tomorrow. That would be good to be able to use the weekend to move.
Anyway, better get back to it. It’s hard finding time to pack between all our sex parties, drug sprees, alcohol binges, and how-to-lie classes we teach, but we’re managing.

If you get a chance, check out this video. It’s too funny!

We got the condo!

Some of you are probably like huh? I posted about this in private already, so to make a long story short… We have been living in our current place for about 8 months now. We pay a very large lease payment because we currently have a “lease to own” deal so that makes the payment a lot higher for us. We aren’t making as much money as we used to for several reasons, so we evaluated our situation and decided that housing is the only area we can really save a decent amount of money in. So, we applied for a condo that is $1,000 less each month than what we are currently paying and out of 5 couples who applied, they picked us! I’m SOOOOO relieved. I’ve been stressing over this big time.

The condo is amazing. It’s 3 story in a downtown setting, 4 bedrooms plus an office. It’s so nice. It’s definitely not a downgrade at all, I was shocked at the lease price. This is really going to help us out a lot to be able to save $1,000 a month. We move in Monday. I’ve been packing this week. I will post pics when I have some. Yay!

why don’t I keep these things in stock?

I’ve been working on a new theme today. It’s totally different than any that I’ve done before. Becca inspired me to be more creative with my blog themes so I’m giving a shot as something collage-y. It’s totally cute so far. I don’t think I’m going to even attempt to code it in CSS though. It would take forever. I think I’ll stick to standard issue tables since I can slice up the design and export it. I can’t wait to put it up.

Seriously I need to keep things like light bulbs in stock here at the house because the lights are burnt out in both the bathroom vanities above my sink and above Preston’s so we’re having to use the overhead lights and they are SOOO bright. It’s either take a bath in the dark or take a bath while being blinded. I suppose I could just light some candles. Hmm…. that’s an idea…

obsessive cleaning

I’m so tired.

Some might say that I don’t “do anything” so why would I be tired, but let me tell you. . . I feel like I have 2 or 3 full time jobs. I’m getting really good at living in 3-3.5 hour increments. The girls eat every 3-3.5 hours and are awake for 1.5-2 of those 3-3.5 hours. So that gives me 1.5-2 hours to do things unrelated to babies. And trust me, that time flies by. Luckily they go down for naps very, very well. All I have to do is swaddle them up, put them in the crib, wind up the mobile and by the time the mobile stops they are usually asleep. I give all credit for that to the fact that they are on a very good routine.

Anyway, maybe it seems like I have a lot of spare time to other people. I feel like I have this never ending cycle of dishes and laundry. Two little babies create quite a bit of laundry and bottles. I probably feel so busy lately because I’m still trying to do everything I wanted to do but couldn’t while I was pregnant. Like scrub my showers. I did that that the other day. Not that they hadn’t been cleaned, they just all needed to be scrubbed really good. We have 3 showers. Our favorite house, the one we might… anyway that house had 4 showers. WHY do I have so many bathrooms to clean?! You know, I’m still not done with the floors. I need to clean all the floors in this house. They’ve been kept up but they need to be cleaned ya know? Maybe I’m just too picky. I like to have a very clean house. It drives me nuts when it’s not… which was partially to blame for my being miserable while pregnant. I knew the shower was less than sparkling. How silly.

Sometimes, I just have to type things out to realize how silly they are. I don’t need to have an obsessively clean house. A normal level of cleanliness should be sufficient. But what is “normal”?

As a side note, you probably have noticed I’ve been doing some sponsored posts lately. I’ll try to make things as interesting as possible with the assignments I’m given.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommies!

I’ve managed to get myself put on house arrest. Yesterday I was feeling great so I decided to go to the mall and look for some comfy capris for the remainder of my pregnancy since all I had was jeans and sweats. I got a close parking spot near the store I was wanting to go to, and so I just took my time slowly making my way to the store. I got there and found some pants I liked right away, so I went to try them on. I was wearing flip flops with my jeans and the jeans were covering my feet up to my toes, so I hadn’t noticed my feet until I took my jeans off. HOLY CRAP. My feet looked like huge balloons with what barely passed as toes poking out the end. Forget about ankles. They were no where to be found. It freaked me out, I’ve never seen my feet that swollen before!!! I was surprised because I hadn’t really walked that much and I was feeling so good. The feeling good quickly turned to feeling shitty and my back hurt so bad by the time I got back to my car. So I spent the rest of the day doing basically nothing. Preston and my brother told me that I’m on house arrest and not allowed to go anywhere from now on that requires walking further than to the car or from the car to a restraunt seat. And apparently my fingers and toes look like…. marshmallows. Thanks guys. My hands and feet are swollen again today and I haven’t done anything besides… nothing. I wonder if I can use my swollen hands and feet to convince them to do the dishes and laundry for me…

The paint in the babies room looks soooo good!!! I’m so excited! I can’t wait until it’s all finished! It’s going to be so much cuter than I ever imagined! Preston is so creative. I’m so proud of him! And my brother is being such an awesome help too! It should all be done this week, I can’t wait! The paint will be done today but there is a lot of wood detail that Preston has to cut out and put up, and then all the other cute little touches he’s putting on the room. I’m excited for my part though - unpacking all their stuff and putting it away in their room and setting it all up so it’s all perfect when they arrive. So, hopefully I’ll be posting pictures of the room all finished this week! Anyone want to try and guess the theme?
