So like, omg, Obama so totally won the debate tonight, right? Like, totally, right? I mean, who cares that he was an arrogant prick and like, who cares that he didn’t say anything of substance. He sooooo totally won! Barack on wooo!!!! *fist bump* I wonder if he’ll sign autograph for me because he’s like, so totally famous.

Yeah. Right.

Last night Preston and I were in bed watching The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and we were crying laughing at this part from last night:

I just love Jay Leno! Never fails to make me laugh!
EDIT: I’m not sure why comment won’t submit on this post… must have something to do with the video. Sorry about that!

I can’t believe it’s October 1st already. My birthday is in 8 days, and my hubby gave me my birthday present early. He got me the Coach bag I’ve been wanting!!! I’m so excited. I’ve wanted a really good purse for a while now. I was hoping for it for Christmas but he got a really good deal on it now so I got my birthday present early.
So, this Friday we are going up to Dallas to stay for the weekend. This is our weekend with Ashton and she has her first basketball game this Saturday. It takes about 2.5 hours one way to drive and pick her up, so if we went to pick her up Friday afternoon, that would be 5 hours of driving on Friday, then 5 hours of driving on Saturday to take her to the game, and 5 hours of driving on Sunday to take her home. Preston had the plane reserved so we could fly but something came up and that wasn’t able to work out. So, we’re just staying up in Dallas for the weekend. There’s no point in wasting the entire weekend driving. I should probably get off this topic, there’s too much potential for me to go off on a rant…
Anyway, I was thinking about cutting my hair off this Friday. Super short again. I can’t decide though. I usually cut it off once a year and let it grow out again. It’s so long and thick right now, on the one hand it drives me nuts and I always wear it in a pony tail, but on the other hand I really like having it long. I guess I’ll probably just get it trimmed and layered until I can decide for sure. Or maybe I won’t. I can’t make up my mind!
I have a killer head ache today. I’ve been clenching my teeth while I sleep, again, so it’s causing me to have a major head ache on most days. This usually happens when I allow myself to get caught up in ridiculous stressful things. I like politics, I have since I was old enough to vote, but it can obviously get really old and stressful. I’m kind of sick of it actually. If Obama gets elected… I don’t even want to think about it anymore. It seriously bothers me, the thought of him as president. I would vote for Hilary Clinton five million times before I would vote for him. If the democrats would have chosen Hilary, I wouldn’t have thought that they were a bunch of brain washed, star struck, sheep. Whatever. If the VP debate weren’t tomorrow I would “suspend” (har har) my brain from thinking about politics at all for a least a week. At least.
I wouldn’t even bother to watch the debate tomorrow, except that I am genuinely interested in hearing more from Sarah Palin. I can’t wait… democrats will rip her apart and say that she doesn’t which way is up, and republicans will praise her and think she did amazing. Surprise. That’s how it works no matter what really happens. Obviously… considering the hype people are making over Obama in the first debate.
You know, the other day, my niece was here and she was mad at her mom (because she’s a teenager and that’s what teenagers do, they get mad at their parents) and she went out into the middle of the field and started throwing a fit. Arms and legs kicking, screaming, the whole shebang. I kind of giggled about it at first when I saw her doing this, but now I understand why she did it.
I’m going to get off of here and go out into the middle of the field and scream and kick and throw a bloody fit. Why? Because I can. And I think it’ll make me feel better.

WOW.

Take a look at this video of children singing original songs about Obama.

That is just creepy, wrong, disturbing, inappropriate, and wow…… lots of other things. On so many levels. I would feel the same no matter what presidential candidate they were being forced to sing about.

A couple people in the comments were saying that it is no worse than children singing songs about Jesus at church. What??? If I even have to explain one to anyone how completely retarded that analogy is, I might go off the deep end.

I will admit, I don’t know that much about how Wall Street works and there are a lot of things about how the economy works that makes me go “huh?”. However, I have spent a lot of time reading about this bail out and I feel like I’ve educated myself enough to be able to say that I’m pretty happy it has not passed.

I also was supportive of McCain going back to Washington and getting in on the process. He was, you know, doing his…. JOB.

Thoughts? (On the bail out, not on McCain returning to Washington. K.)

PETA - Never fails to amaze me
10:05 pm ~ 7

PETA has asked Ben & Jerry’s to start using breast milk in place of cows milk in their ice cream.

WOW. Please. Tell me they were joking. They can’t be serious?

Some argue we are the only species that drinks the milk of another. Well, yah. And? Animals were given to us for many reasons, one of them being for the purpose of food. Drinking the milk of a cow is not what is harmful, it’s what gets into the milk of the cow because of how they are raised and treated that is potentially “harmful” (example: growth hormones, antibiotics, etc).

I’m all for better treatment of animals. I agree that animals are treated very poorly in some cases and that is terrible. But what is not terrible is to use animals for the purpose that they were given to us for. Animals are not, in any way at all, equal to us. It is not some horrible wrong doing to eat a big, fat, juicy steak. Or wear a nice pair of leather boots. Or carry a nice leather purse.

Mmmmm. Steak. I’m hungry.

But really, I respect a persons choice to be a vegetarian. You don’t want to eat meat for whatever reason, that’s cool. Just don’t go off the deep end on me because I like my steak rare. I obviously don’t agree with some extremists (like PETA) who go waaaaaaaaay to far with the whole “animal rights” thing. I’ve always found it interesting how crazy and even at times, violent, PETA supporting individuals can get.

Gosh, I’m such a mean, mean, mean meat eatin’ McCain votin’ gun totin’ (not really, I wish though) God fearin’ hill billy Republican. If I didn’t already live in Texas, I would so move here. Yeeeeeee haaawwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really?

Was I watching the same debate as all these Obama supporters were??? Really??? You cannot be serious. McCain clearly showed that he is far, far, FAR more capable of running our country than Obama is. I’m disgusted at how arrogant and condescending Obama acted, how he kept interrupting and speaking out of turn. The looks on his face. He is so disgustingly snooty it makes me sick.
How anyone can say that he relates to the average American is beyond me.
McCain hit the nail on the head - OBAMA JUST DOES NOT GET IT.

Look, I know that Obama supporters are going to of course, naturally, say that Obama did amazing in this debate. And yes, McCain supporters are going to naturally say McCain did great in this debate. But come on. Lets be real with ourselves here. McCain ran circles around Obama and Obama did a great job at showing how naive and unprepared he really is. All his nice promises of “change” are all great and give lots of people warm fuzzy feelings inside but when it comes right down to it, he is not the man that is capable of actually getting the job done when all the campaign hype is all said and done.

I want a person who knows what he’s doing, who has life experience, who has a record worth talking about to be the person in control of the most powerful country on earth. I don’t want some inexperienced, snooty, celebrity type giving pretty promises of change without any substantial record behind him.

Yes, “change” is good, we need “change”, but I promise you… we do not need Obama’s kind of change.
