So, I decided it was time to clean up the site and put up a fresh theme. I loved the last one but it was starting to feel too cluttered. This is kind of my cross between winter and spring theme. I’m ready for it to be spring. The weather here needs to either be cold or warm, I’m sick of this cold one day warm the next stuff. Bleh.

Anyway, let me know what you think. If you find anything weird let me know so I can fix it.

I want to start doing video blogs but I’m not sure I’d be good at them. I’m such a dork on camera. I’ll show you just how much of a dork I really am on camera because I’m about to post this video for a blog assignment I did. You can feel free to laugh at me like crazy, because I did it quickly and look totally special. But special in a bad way. But hey at least it was good pay. And I’m sure some of you will have a blast making fun of me.

I came across another really good web hosting site tonight. A lot of people email me asking for a recommendation on where to host their blog so I like to post about these good sites when I come across them. One thing I always used to hate spending money on was expensive hosting. I used to pay a lot to host each of my websites before I met Preston and moved all my sites to his server. It really doesn’t cost much at all to host a blog site, or even a small business site, yet most companies jack up the price unnecessarily. This site, which I linked above, offers plans from as low as $6.95 per month. You really can’t get a better deal than that. They also sell domain names starting as low as $12.00 per year for the .com domains. I remember when I bought my very first domain. It was insydious.net and I paid $39.00 for it! I didn’t shop around before buying the domain because I was only what… 15 I think, so I didn’t know any better.
I just noticed this site also offers good deals on dedicated server plans. We’re looking around for something that costs less as far as what we pay for our current servers but that is comparable to what we have now as far as space, bandwidth, etc. We pay too much right now, in my opinion, for the 3 servers that we have. We do need a lot of bandwidth though so I assume that’s why.
Anyway, gotta go get the girls in bed. Just thought I’d share another good site with yall.

I’m going to unofficially add to the list of New Year’s resolutions that I’m going to get up a couple new websites. I have been doing some blogging assignments as you have probably been able to tell, and so I want to try to move most of that to a new review site. I started it a couple months ago but I’ve been too busy to get it up. So I really want to do that. Not everything on the review site is going to be paid blogging, it’s going to be good. Trust me. Also I need to find something to do with insydio.us. It’s an awesome domain name, so I need to find something really cool to do with it. Any suggestions? I was thinking about making it a video blog… but I’m not sure. Hmmmmm.

Also, Preston and I are making a website about twins that we are excited to launch. It still needs a lot of work though, but it should be fun. If you are a MOM (mother-of-multiples) send me an email or leave me a comment and find out how you can help contribute to our new twin website!

A friend had asked me tonight where I host my blog because she was looking for a good hosting company to go with for her new blog. My husband has his own server so we host our own websites, but I was helping her look for some decent prices and came across http://www.webhostingchoice.com. It’s pretty cool website. You can search their directory for a hosting company that best fits your needs based on price, space required, etc. They have a lot of places to choose from on there. Their database of sites seems to be rather large. I did a search for her based on the requirements she needs for her new site and came up with a great hosting plan for under $10 a month. The site caters to everything from small personal sites to large e-commerce sites. It’s a very useful site, and it’s straight to the point with no ads or anything to distract you from what you’re looking for. Anyway, I thought some of you might find it handy.
