UGH. After my c-section I had the normal amount of postpartum bleeding, it went away completely after about a week and a half. Then at the end of June I started bleeding again all of a sudden, extremely heavy but I figured okay you can technically, though fairly rare, get a period while breast feeding and being on the mini pill so this is probably just a period. It kept on extremely heavy for a week so I went to my doctor and she put me on regular birth control pills, and told me to take two a day instead of one. I also have a 2 inch cyst on my left ovary. Awesome. Okay the regular birth control pills worked with stopping the bleeding and caused my milk supply to be all but gone, but then Tuesday night I started bleeding - AGAIN! I’m so sick of this already! So today I have to have another D&C because my uterus lining is very thick and I have a lot of clots to pass. Yuck, right? So that’s what I’m doing today. Looks like I’m out of commission - again. Grr.

I bet you are so happy that you know what’s going on with my uterus now. Hey, you didn’t have to keep reading, I warned you!

So the first night home with both girls was pretty much the same as having one of them here. It was actually a piece of cake lol! Maybe it’s a fluke… I dunno. They’re both just so happy and content. I’ve heard people with one talk about the first few weeks being hell on earth and I’m really starting to wonder what’s wrong with my babies? lol Why aren’t they driving me crazy yet? They are both just so amazing. I wasn’t sure how I would handle the sleep deprivation but there is seriously nothing I’d rather be doing than waking up every 3 hours to those two little angels. They are off to a great start as far as scheduling goes. They eat every 3 hours. You know, I probably would be going crazy if I let them just eat whenever they felt like it. Some people are opposed to putting babies on a schedule and I have a feeling it’s those people who complain about their babies being difficult.

Anyway, guess what? I don’t think I ever specifically said how much weight I gained while pregnant. Well, I gained 60lbs. As of today I have 20lbs to lose. Yay I’m going to take an after pregnancy photo and show you the difference. I’m excited about this, so I have to brag. My incision is almost fully healed. I can’t wait until it is completely for two reasons. 1. I want my husband really bad (ha TMI right? You can expect that around here. ) and 2. I can’t wait to work out again.

I need to get off this computer and pump because my awesome new size D boobs are seriously throbbing. TMI again.

Ughhhh I am getting soooo uncomfortable lately. My back is officially killing me. It’s my upper back though, so that’s kind of odd. The front of my body right under my boobs at the top of my uterus is so sore and if you go from there around to the back, that’s where my back hurts. Right under my shoulder blades. Weird. I was at the mall today and I was trying to walk fast and my body seriously would not go any faster than a slow waddle. I can feel so much pressure on lower stomach/pubic region. I think both babies are still breech because I can feel them both kick me really low. Their kicking is actually starting to hurt. I can tell when Emma has her foot pressing on my cervix because I’ll have this sharp pain from inside me down through my vagina. That sounds pretty funny but it’s true! And if I have to pee…. I better get to a restroom ASAP because I swear they kick me more when I have to pee. They won’t be moving at all but once my bladder gets to the point where I need to go, they start kicking up a storm! If I didn’t have good muscle control, I swear I would have peed my pants 1,000 times by now. Imagine having to pee really, really bad and then getting to the restroom and you’re about to go and all of a sudden you stop yourself! That’s what it feels like. I know you wanted to know that.
They are seriously getting so big. It’s cute though. You can actually put your hands on my tummy and feel where each of them is at. Ava’s head is usually always in the same exact spot and if you push on it, it feels like its RIGHT on the other side of my skin. I’m now measuring at 34 weeks. I feel soooo stretched! But, no stretch marks yet!!! Sometimes it hurts to stand up straight because I can feel so much pulling.
My weight gain so far…. 32lbs. My doctor said that’s right on target so yay for that but I can definitely feel it in my knees. How long do you think it’ll take me to get back down to my pre-pregnancy weight? I’m guessing……… I’ll be back down to normal size by my 23rd birthday. If I deliver in the beginning of June then that’s about 4 months. It’s basically all baby weight so I wouldn’t be surprised if I was back to normal before then. Yes… the extra fat on my ass counts as “maternal stores” which are necessary for sucessful baby building. Actually, Preston doesn’t want me to lose the weight in my behind so maybe I won’t try too hard. I have to be tone though and not flabby (that’s my requirement, not his) so I am really looking forward to being able to work out again.
Oh and I got my glucose test results back and I’m all good there but I do have a pretty low iron count so I have to take a supplement twice a day. And we have our next ultrasound on the 10th so I’m excited for that.

Anyway, I need to get off of here and go make dinner. I’m making my famous meatloaf. Okay so I’ve never actually made meatloaf before, but once I do… it’ll be famous (for being good, not for being bad!).

This is entirely TMI but well, that’s what you get when you come to someone’s personal blog, right? I am officially a size 36C. C is the perfect cup size, seriously. Still small enough to be perky, not so big that they sag. I just got 2 new bras today (still Victoria’s Secret because I refuse to become a frumpy pregnant woman). Pre pregnancy I was a small 34B. I’m loving this, really. Pregnancy has been so good to me! Preston’s actually suggesting that I not lose weight after the babies are born. He goes even more nuts over me now than he did before! I’m obviously going to get back in shape after the babies arrive (I’m sure I’ll have no choice with breastfeeding and looking after 2 babies!) but I’m not going to try to do some huge weight loss thing and get back down to my pre pregnancy weight. If it happens, it happens. If not, I won’t stress. As long as I’m fit again, I won’t worry about the numbers on the scale or on the tag of my jeans. Looking back at photos of myself pre pregnancy…. I was SUPER skinny. Funny thing is I always thought I had a little extra meat on my bones. After seeing pictures, I like myself better now, I look more womanly and not so teenage and boney.
I’ve actually gained 20lbs now. I’m a little behind schedule for a twin pregnancy as of right now, but the babies are perfectly sized and my uterus is currently measuring the size of a 31 week singleton pregnancy. CRAZY! I wonder how big it will be by the end of all of this?!

I spoke too soon. My period has happily found me today and is kicking my ass. YESSSS!
