I think I’m getting a cold. The girls have had stuffy noses but they are starting to clear up, and now I have one and my throat is feeling all hot and I have a headache. Bleh. I hate colds!

I went out yesterday to look for some plastic headbands that are not already covered, just plain plastic headbands and I couldn’t find any anywhere. What did people do before the internet?! There are several places online that I can buy these but none of the craft stores had them. I ended up getting a good deal on some on ebay but now I have to wait for shipping and I really wanted them today. Headbands are really popular right now and there are so many things you can do with them to customize them… I was really surprised that I couldn’t find any in stores.

This is kind of random but yesterday my Dad had the TV on a music video channel so that he could listen to music because he didn’t know that we actually have a radio on the intercom system, and anyway, have you ever noticed how completely cheesy music videos are??? I haven’t watched any in a long time but seriously, they are soooo cheesy! This particular video that I have in mind is this one with Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles. Now, I love country music and I love Bon Jovi (it’s true lol) but this music video just made me laugh. But it’s not just that one. I mean, what about the ones with the rap or R&B singers?!?? I think it’s safe to say those are even more cheesy. Or…. is slutty the word…. I love music and everything all day long but what’s the point in music videos?

Sorry I’ve been neglecting the blog lately. I’ve been spending all my free time working on getting the store up and running. I’m hoping that it will open tomorrow, but if not then Wednesday for sure! I’ll let you know.

The girls turned 10 months old yesterday! I know the next two months are going to fly by and then all of a sudden they’ll be a year old. They aren’t baby babies anymore!

So, I about just hyper ventilated 20 minutes ago. Here in the town we live in, they have tornado warning sirens that they test weekly on completely clear sunny days. Well I’m sitting up here at my desk and all of a sudden the sirens start going off. And today has been everything but clear and sunny. It’s been dark and stormy all day and really warm. Well of course I got freaked out and went down stairs and Preston, my dad, and brother are outside on the front porch and there is this huge cloud that is starting to circle and form a funnel. I was like oooooooooooooooh my gosh I’m going to die. It seriously looked like it was about to touch down. Everyone was out on their front steps and traffic was starting to pile up under the over pass. Then a neighbor told us that a tornado had just touched down near Ikea, which is just a 2 minute drive south of our condo. You could see this huge cloud circling and getting closer and closer to the ground. Everyone thought for sure it was going to touch down. Luckily the huge thing just passed right by without touching down. The whole time sirens are going off and I’m freaking the heck out.

Coming from WA I’ve been in my share of earth quakes. I can do earth quakes. I cannot do tornados. No way, no thank you, nope.

And now it’s getting clear and the sun is shining. Texas weather is weird.

I was browsing the news and this caught my eye: Mom Throws 2 Kids From Dallas Overpass, Then Jumps; All 3 Survive. If those kids surviving is not an act of God then I don’t know what is. Seriously, what is with people?!!? I hope that woman spends the rest of her life in jail and never has access to those kids again. This article says she “has a criminal history that includes aggravated robbery and burglary” and “had a history with Child Protective Services in which the agency conducted some minor interventions”. Why on earth did this woman have access to these children beyond the aggravated robbery and burglary??? Maybe that was before she had the kids… but does it surprise you that she then had investigations with CPS? Geez.

This is totally random and I have NO idea why this came to my mind… but do you remember Pogs?! LOL! I used to love collecting those things! I had so many… I wonder what happened to them. Growing up in the 90s was awesome. GOSH.

Before I go to bed, I thought you would get a kick out of this video I made a few weeks ago. It’s a Jib Jab video Starring Preston, Alec, TJ, and me. It’s quite amazing. I love watching these Jib Jab videos, they’re so funny! Most of the ones you can make yourself were dancing ones but this one I thought was just too funny! Oh. My. Gosh. I almost just died. (Don’t get too excited.)

There was a wasp in the house this morning and TJ killed it… no big deal. Then I saw another one as Preston was leaving to eat dinner with Ashton. It was flying around the high windows so no one could get to it. I was hoping it would stay there but of course it didn’t. I walked across the stairs and saw it in the windows still, and then on my way back across it was gone. I told myself not to think about it and everything would be fine.

Everything was not fine.

I was sitting at my computer working on a video of Emma rolling over and I hear this “BUZZZZZZZ” and so I turn around and the huge wasp is dive bombing and I’m his target. It was one of those things that when you look back at it, it feels like it was in slow motion. Here’s the wasp, buzzing very loudly, coming right for me with it’s big stinger pointed RIGHT AT ME.

I don’t think I’ve ever moved so fast in my entire life. I jumped up, ran out, and slammed the door behind me. I was so scared I couldn’t breathe right. I should have been wearing protective underwear because I nearly peed my pants. I’m so glad I had the girls in the living room playing on the floor together. That door is not getting opened until Preston and TJ get home with something to kill the wasp, and I stuffed a sheet under the door JUST IN CASE. You never know. Safety first.

This is the 2nd wasp in the house today and there was another flying around the door outside when Preston left. I think they might be planning some massive wasp attack on me.

One more thing…

We’ve been looking at luxury homes and bought this house in Florida. I can’t wait to move in and spend my time trying to find the kitchen and cleaning the 7 bathrooms.

Right.

Joking. But really, could you imagine living there? I don’t think I’d want to. Too many bathrooms to clean. I don’t dig toilets that much. But I bet there are some really nice tubs. Okay, now I’m really getting off my computer right now and going to take a bath and be thankful that I don’t have 7 bathrooms to clean.
